Flagship Device From ZTE

Flagship Device From ZTE

The flagship device from ZTE has not entered the Malaysian market for a long time. Without storm and lightning, suddenly the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G which is one of their latest flagship devices has been sold in Malaysia over the past few months. Of course we at Amanz who have a curious nature about this device, tested this device.

What’s so special about it? A little information for you, this is a ZTE android that launched in China last April with a focus on photography – where they include 3 different 64MP sensors. The question is will this device be able to attract people to try this device again?

The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G is equipped with an AMOLED FHD+ screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400, and has a refresh rate of 144Hz. It is powered by a Snapdragon 888 chip with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM memory and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

The device uses a quad-camera configuration of three 64MP sensors and one 8MP sensor, along with a 16MP sensor for a selfie camera. The battery used is 4600mAh with 65W fast charging support. It is a 5G dual-SIM device with no microSD card slot support, no 3.5mm audio jack port, no water protection support and has a fingerprint scanner below the screen.

The device runs the MyOS 11 operating system based on Android 11. It is ZTE’s own system that is quite simple and easy to use. The design of this device is also quite unique with the use of a curved screen; and a thin bezel as well as there is a hole on the screen in the middle; and a lattice for the earpiece in the upper bezel.

On the back of the device there is a rather large rectangular camera hump but not that thick. The finish is dull but still smooth; and there are no weird patterns other than the ZTE logo at the bottom; making this device look so minimalist.

OnePlus Nord 2 Software

OnePlus Nord 2 Software

The OnePlus Nord 2 software that was quite popular is Oxygen OS that used to offer fast updates and a native Android -like user experience has now changed. We know that OnePlus has officially merged with Oppo and the operating systems of these two devices will be merged. OnePlus Nord 2 will give a user experience as if using the Oppo Reno 6 Pro, but a little flawed because it looks like the Color OS is not complete with the Oxygen OS theme.

When these two operating systems are similar, many functions and features are shared, Color OS which has more features and functions will feel more attractive to use. Compared to Oxygen OS which has less customization elements that Oppo offers. Oxygen OS 11.3 on this Oneplus android is still trying to try to offer a more or less the same experience, but to no avail as it no longer has its own special features.

The camera application, settings section, design; and many elements in the operating system on this device are similar to Realme UI and Color OS. I’m used to using Color OS and know Realme UI; it feels very strange to use a OnePlus device that has Oppo software.

The overall usage experience on this device will feel just fine. 90Hz is consistent, no serious time lag issues, the Oxygen launchers still have a bit of their original elements as well as the use of the Alert Slider with a neat animated display – there’s still OnePlus in it.

But on system settings Convenience tools, Battery settings, App Management, camera apps, data transfer; apps similar to Oppo are hard for me to accept when Oxygen OS 10 and below is my favorite. But what can be done?

The most annoying thing is that the Oxygen OS starts to feel a little heavy; because once the device is turned on – it takes a little longer than usual to load. Apps will be slow to open, icons disappear; and having to wait around 5-6 seconds to load is something not experienced on Oppo devices.

OnePlus Nord 2

OnePlus Nord 2

OnePlus Nord 2 is the latest OnePlus premium mid -range device that has just been sold in Malaysia. It is a device that will confuse the first users of this brand and will make fans start thinking twice. What happen? Is this the best device? Who is this device for? This is my review and I will answer this question.

The OnePlus Nord 2 undeniably offers interesting specs for a premium mid range android. It’s an even more impressive upgrade than the previous generation, especially on performance, camera and battery. The device is powered by a Dimensity 1200-AI processing chip, with a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU and is matched with memory of up to 12GB of RAM as well as internal storage of up to 256GB. The review unit I received was the most basic, which is the 8/128 GB variation.

The OnePlus One was among my first flagship Android devices, after so long being loyal to the Lumia 720 running Windows Phone. What makes this brand appeal to me is the customization capabilities, the freedom to choose a custom ROM, affordable prices, as well as the crazy customer service and community support.

But over time, OnePlus began to become a cliché smartphone brand. It no longer cares about customers, but wants to catch up with competitors. Since Carl Pei was gone, the changes to the brand have become more noticeable and the first time I didn’t spend my own money buying a OnePlus device.

With this chip and memory, it has a performance that is almost twice as great as the first OnePlus Nord. Even with only 8GB of RAM, throughout usage there was no problem of time lag or system crashes even though many apps were running in the background which I locked. The first play was also quite interesting and had a satisfying experience. The first one I tested was Asphalt 9 at maximum setting, Battlefield Mobile Alpha version at high setting and first like Beatstar.

Xiaomi Pad 5 Benchmark

Xiaomi Pad 5 Benchmark

Xiaomi Pad 5 Benchmark show that in the Geekbench 5 test, the Snapdragon 860 chip used by the device recorded 656/2701 marks and in the Antutu 3D test it recorded 573,655 marks. This is the score that places the Pad 5 as the best affordable flagship class device on the market to date.

The first 3D like COD Mobile can be played at high settings with a stable 60 FPS frame rate. The first 2D directly does not cause the device to overheat. In the first Genshin Impact test can be run stably at medium settings. High settings at this time can make the Snapdragon 888 cry while the Snapdragon 860.
Xiaomi Smart Pen Stylus

The Xiaomi Smart Pen is Xiaomi’s answer to the Samsung S Pen and Apple Pencil. In terms of design it’s a comfortable stylus in the hand faucet it has the same dimensions as a real pencil. The pen point also has the ability to detect 4096 pressure resistant. With bluetooth tethering support, the Smart Pen can be used as a remote control when doing a presentation but cannot control the camera as on the Galaxy Note series.

Drawing on the screen is comfortable only I realize there is a bit of latent time before what is sketched is displayed on the screen. It’s noticeable considering I’ve been using the S Pen and Apple Pencil for years. Smart Pen recharging is done with a magnetic connection. The stylus is not actually connected firmly to the body of the tablet. So we recommend before being taken for a walk, the stylus is stored elsewhere first to prevent it from slipping out.

China Ver

In China, a desktop PC mode (similar to the Samsung DeX) is included but not on global devices. Users can do the installation themselves using the APK but the app still has some bugs. There are applications like YouTube that cannot be used in full screen. Netflix, on the other hand, cannot display content at all. Perhaps these issues are causing desktop mode not to be included with the Global ROM.

Desktop mode also doesn’t seem to be cooked enough, not salted enough. I tried projecting the Pad 5 screen to an Android TV and Chromecast with Google TV owned but to no avail. Strange because this is a no -problem feature done from other Android devices reviewed previously. USB-C to HDMI connection is also not possible. Television enriches no signal can be detected. This issue was also reported by other fellow commentators such as Nasi Lemak Tech.

Xiaomi Pad 5

Xiaomi Pad 5

The Xiaomi Pad 5 is a tablet that I could see many excited about when it was launched in a global event and also its launch in Malaysia last week. I’m sure this excitement happened because it’s the first tablet launched by Xiaomi for a long time, the design is very beautiful and the specifications are very impressive.

This excitement is aided by the device being sold at a price that does not clutter the pockets of consumers who have been synonymous with Xiaomi since the beginning of their introduction to the world of smart devices again. So is this the Android tablet of choice for 2021 or is the default option still an iPad? This is a brief Amanz review for the Xiaomi Pad 5.

Usage And Software

MIUI android for Pad is used on this tablet based on Android 11. It is MIUI 12 modified to be used on tablets better. Among the changes made is the taskbar at the bottom for the most frequently accessed applications.

Let’s start first with the positive things about the MIUI Pad. There is support for launching two applications simultaneously. With a large screen launching two apps at once doesn’t make the screen look checkered. There is also a feature to launch the app in a small window; for those who want to use it floating. Xiaomi only provides support for ONE floating app at a time.

The back panel is made of plastic panels but has a slope color finish; whose color changes according to the reflection of light. It does look very beautiful and sexy. It also gets bonus points for not trapping dirt easily.

The Xiaomi Smart Pen stylus can be used on the screen of the device and can also be stored via a magnetic connection to the side of the body. I will discuss the performance of this stylus in its own segment below.

Xiaomi 11T Night Mode

Xiaomi 11T Night Mode

Xiaomi 11T Night mode shots on the device are also commendable. Through side -by -side testing with the pro version, the capture results on this device are more satisfactory especially in terms of its color reproduction. Where, it is seen to be able to handle most low lighting situations denfan very well.

Although there is no OIS support and the ISP is from MediaTek, the Xiaomi 11T does have an eye -pleasing quality. For the record, night mode is also available on the main and ultrawide cameras, as well as at the 2x zoom level.

Video recording capabilities are at a satisfactory level. The result is acceptable in terms of focus, color and stability. Noise is still visible, but acceptable. The audio is also good and it is then further highlighted with the Audio Zoom function which is very helpful in video recording for vlog or sharing on social media. Not to be outdone, it also has a telemacro recording function that can be used for close -range video recording. The result is also very good for a device like this.

The Xiaomi 11T is supply with a battery capacity of 5,000 mAh. It also supports 67W wire fast charging to ensure this large battery can be recharge in no time. Xiaomi advertises that this charging technology is capable of fully recharging the Xiaomi android in just 36 minutes.

However, the claim seems unfound when our user experience find that a full charge can be make in around 55 minutes with 3%battery remaining. We also test it for the second time and the result was around 53 minutes with 8%battery remaining. For your information, we use the charger head and cable provided in the packaging box.

Next, the battery endurance performance can be say to be quite satisfactory. Xiaomi 11T recorded SoT readings of more than 9 hours for extreme use. Next, it can also reach over 11 hours of its site in moderate use. However, all of this also depends on your own usage.

Xiaomi 11T Buttons

Xiaomi 11T Buttons

Next, no Xiaomi 11T buttons, holes or slots are found on the opposite side. Instead, Xiaomi puts a SIM tray on the bottom along with speakers and a USB-C connection port. When opened, it supports nano dual-SIM without the capabilities of micro SD card support. Next, another speaker can also be found at the top as the Xiaomi 11T supports stereo type speakers. Dolby Atmos support also complements it for a better audio experience.

Talking more about it, we honestly say its audio capabilities are less than satisfactory. The audio cast of the music produced is flat, gloomy and less exciting. In fact, the resulting audio is also unbalanced. Where, the sound at the bottom sounds louder. Meanwhile, the speakers at the top sound a bit slow. Although, this situation can be improved by activating the Dolby Atmos system, but it is still not able to reach our level of satisfaction.

Screen Display

In terms of display, Xiaomi 11T uses a 6.67-inch AMOLED flat screen with FHD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display also uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus as the main protector. We have no negative comments for the flat screen used as it is much easier to use. Furthermore, the camera hole on the Xiaomi android also does not interfere with use due to its small size. Not to be outdone, the size of the bezel also looks balanced with a moderately thick build on all parts.

The display quality is also really good and sharp. The color display is also good and bright. This is coupled with adaptive color support that is able to provide the best display experience in every environment. At the same time making the content on the screen can also be read well even when in the sun. Next, the display also has the ability to display HDR10+content. However, it does not support the Dolby Vision format as found in the pro version.

Xiaomi 11T series

Xiaomi 11T series

Recently, Xiaomi has come up with a ‘hand piece’ through the introduction of the Xiaomi 11T series. The series that was introduced this time managed to attract attention and become the mouthpiece of many who are now relentlessly talking about it. There are two models introduce namely Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro. Xiaomi has sold nearly 800 million units of smartphones since the beginning of its introduction around 2011, making it one of the fastest growing brands in the mobile device market.

What is interesting about the series this time is that both are among the earliest models from Xiaomi; that no longer use the “Mi” branding as done on a number of devices before. The introduction of this smart device allows Xiaomi; to once again try to compete in the affordable device segment of the market. In addition, it is also place in the product category of choice of consumers; who want a device with good camera capabilities.

Apart from that, both also feature a number of similar aspects both in terms of internal and external supply. However, this review article will focus more on the Xiaomi 11T model. To see how great it is in the real world; let’s share almost two weeks of usage experience for this smart device.

Like two similar moths, that’s what can be said of this Xiaomi android when it has a completely similar design to the Xiaomi 11T Pro. Sometimes it is quite difficult to distinguish between the two models, especially when placed side by side.

Xiaomi 11T can be said to be among the devices that are interesting to look at, balanced and even able to create its own elements. It is highlight with a curve back panel, making it comfortable to grip despite having a relatively large body size. However, the back panel without any texture feels a bit slippery; and is very easy to trap fingerprint dirt when not using any protective accessories.

Xiaomi 11T Pro Camera

Xiaomi 11T Pro Camera

The Xiaomi 11T Pro camera configuration is a tri-camera from a 108+8+5 Megapixel sensor. Each sensory is wide -angle, ultra -wide -angle and telematics with a variety of exciting video recording modes. The selfie camera is 16 Megapixels.

The battery of the device is 5000mAh with 120W fast charging support which can charge the device around 17 minutes from 0%-100%. Also available is NFC, 5G, infrared sensor support and the device runs MIUI 12.5.4 based on Android 11.

The Logo

Above is the Harmon/Kardon logo, speaker lattice, microphone hole and also infrared sensor. Below is also more or less the same only there is no sensor and logo, but there is a USB-C port for charging and data transfer as well as a SIM card slot. On the right side there is a power button that also serves as a fingerprint scanner and a volume button. The left side is nothing, the upper front has a lattice for the earpiece with a thin bezel screen design as well as a selfie camera in the form of a hole on the screen.

On the back of the device there is a camera module and the Xiaomi logo. The device is slightly curved at the back which gives a little extra grip. It feels slick, but because of its design it is comfortable enough for long -term use. The arrangement of the stereo speakers is also quite good which does not prevent the first video streaming and play sessions.

The annoying advertising issue is arguably gone, but Xiaomi replaced it by promoting the use of their digital services. An example I receive is that it regularly issues reminders to use Carousel Wallpapers. Ads even if there are none, users have to deactivate them themselves just a little tedious.

Premiers And Benchmarks

Playing for the first time on the Xiaomi android is no problem. It doesn’t matter if the Asphalt 9 has the highest settings, or even plays a light start in the long run – the device has no heating problems like most other devices in the same class.

Although the benchmark score was found to be slightly lower than we expected. But this is a reasonable score for a Snapdragon 888 device with 8GB of RAM. AnTuTu recorded a score of 652,680 and Geekbench 5 recorded a score of 1069/3037. This is a satisfactory amount, but if 12GB of RAM will definitely be higher or if there is a Memory Extension. Just keep in mind as always, this score is a mere number; and the actual usage experience is even more important.

Software in Xiaomi 11T Pro

Software in Xiaomi 11T Pro

Usage and software in Xiaomi 11T Pro. The screen of this device is absolutely fantastic. Dolby Vision gives more beautiful colors, deeper details, it’s darker and cinematic. But it should play content like on Netflix or a platform that supports this display standard. Not to forget also that 120Hz on this device is more consistent than before. This is probably due to MIUI 12.5.4 with Enhanced Edition.

The user experience also feels smoother and faster, the Snapdragon 888 this time around even with only 8GB of RAM on our review unit – when tortured with camera tests and the first weight is just lukewarm and no serious heating issues. The all -new cooling system on the device seems to play a good role.

Using the device to type is also very good with a premium haptic vibration system. It tries to mimic the iPhone, not to mention but for Android devices it has a satisfying experience.

MIUI 12.5.4 on this device still has the same interface design and is no different from the user experience since MIUI 11 again. The only differences are in the background such as memory management, performance and security. Interesting enough to see Xiaomi relies a lot on Google apps like on phone apps and SMS.

Honestly we say, MIUI on this device is not much different from Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco devices that use the basic MIUI 12.5 as well as Android 11. It’s a pity that additional Memory Extension memory support is not offered for this device. Although 8GB of RAM feels like enough, but if possible add around 4GB more or 2GB of memory management will be smoother. I say this because when there are many applications in the background, the system will crash a moment and makes the device reboot abruptly. Maybe the 12GB RAM variation won’t have this issue?

Samsung Galaxy A22 Cameras

Samsung Galaxy A22 Cameras

There are three Samsung Galaxy A22 cameras behind, Samsung Galaxy A22 5G uses 48-megapixel for the main sensor. Next, it is followed by 5-megapixel for ultra-wide and 2-megapixel sensors for depth sensors. In terms of performance, the catch is good at sufficient lighting situations. In short, it is very sufficient for most of the user’s daily use.

Color control seems balanced and the details on the image are also awake. Next, good aufokus capabilities also simplify the capture process to be made. Ultra-wide sensors provide moderate results. If you notice, the image of the image is reduced, there is noise and color reproduction problems also looks quite chaotic. Then, the outcome of the depth is how much it is acceptable. But, not much can be expected through it.

Not left behind, night mode picture results are also satisfying for a device with such price range. However, there is a significant noise and color production also becomes helpless for some situations. Therefore, you need to activate the special night mode provided for better results. Where, you will notice the quality of the picture taken to be brighter, clear and good. For video settings, Samsung Galaxy A02S can also record recording achieving 2K resolution.

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is a Samsung effort in offering devices with 5G network built-in affordable prices. It has a good and tasty finish in hand, at the same time offering some other bonuses. For example, the battery and the screen are large enough, the 3.5mm audio jack and others.

It is also more suitable for users who want smart android to basic assignments or social media. But, not for users who focus on extreme mobile games. If you are looking for a device for long-term use, it is not wrong to try Samsung Galaxy A22 5G. This is because it has the built-in 5G network support that will soon be supported in the next few years.

Galaxy A22 Mono Speakers

Galaxy A22 Mono Speakers

Then, the Galaxy A22 mono speakers, USB-C post and even the 3.5mm audio jack are located at the bottom. The audio quality is just normal and not very loud. There is also Dolby Atmos support but you need to install earphones first. One more thing you need to know, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G does not have waterproof capability. Therefore, do not dare to try to soak it in water or you will have to buy a new device again later.

But unfortunately, it is very easy to trap dirt. So, if you want the device to stay clean and look the same as when it was first removed from the box. As always, the use of a framework is highly recommended. We are not sure for your purchase unit, but the unit in our hands does not come with any free frame.

Next, the right side has a fingerprint scanner. It has a built in power button. We admit, this fingerprint scanner is placed in a good position. But, it is not friendly to left -handed users. Moreover, its performance is also inconsistent – where, there are times it shows fast performance and there are times it even takes a few seconds to open the device.

One more thing, we also feel that it still needs to be improved because sometimes there are issues with the Samsung android failing to scan fingerprints properly. When this happens, we have to enter a predefined password to unlock this device. Alternatively, we also use the face scan function which is seen to perform better.

In addition, this fingerprint scanner can also be used for several other functions such as opening the camera application quickly. Where, you only need to press this scanner twice. Then, it can also be used to switch between front and rear cameras easily.

On the same side there is also a voice adjustable button that is comfortable to press. Next, the side also houses a slot for a SIM. Here, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G has three separate slots. This is to make it easier for you to use two nano -sized SIMs and a microSD card simultaneously.

Oppo Reno6 5G Battery

Oppo Reno6 5G Battery

What about Oppo Reno6 5G battery life? Well, before we share more about it it is necessary for you to know the battery size for the Oppo Reno6 is 4,300mAh. It also supports charging at a maximum power of 65W.

With a 60Hz screen, we can get SOT readings up to 9 hours long with 14%battery remaining. This is a moderate use of the device. Later, this reading continued to plummet to 5 hours 9 minutes with the battery remaining around 17% when we used it more often. Needless to say, the screen is still at the 60Hz setting.

For a screen with a 90Hz setting, we can get an SOT reading of around 5 hours with a battery remaining around 10% and usage is moderate. All of these situations we mentioned are completely dependent on 4G LTE networks. So here, clearly showing the battery life is entirely dependent on a user’s own usage pattern.

Only, if we want to talk about heat problems. It does indeed happen where the Oppo android gets hot quickly. The situation occurred not only during the first play. In fact, while making a video call, watch a video and turn on the hotspot connection while doing work. One more thing, the Oppo Reno6 is also complete with X-axis linear motor support with 4D vibration feature. Personally, we feel the vibration feature is quite good.

Talking a bit about the initial settings, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang can be played up to High graphics. Next, other starters like Genshin Impact meanwhile the original setting is on ‘Low with 30fps mode. It, however, can still be set to higher graphics manually. But, the gaming experience will be less satisfying. For PUBG Mobile, the original graphic setting is ‘Balanced’ with a frame rate of ‘Medium’.

Processor in Oppo Reno6

The 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor in Oppo Reno6 is used in conjunction with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Not to be outdone, it is also aided by the support of additional virtual RAM up to 5GB which makes the total memory for all of them is 11GB. The interface is ColorOS 11.1 which is based on Android 11. Some common benchmark tests were also conducted. The results are as attached below. Where, the Antutu benchmark showed a collection of 420,066 points. Meanwhile, the Geekbench benchmark recorded 727 points in the single -core test and 2,129 points in the multi -core test.

To the right is the power button. Then, the audio adjust button is located on the left side. Again there were no negative comments from us for the position of all these buttons as they are very ergonomic, at the same time easy to reach. In addition, these buttons also have a solid construction-where, they do not loosen or sway when pressed repeatedly. At the same time, it also does not hurt the fingers at all when used.

The Oppo Reno6 also uses on -screen fingerprint scanner support. Its capabilities are at a fine level and can unlock the device without any extreme issues. Speaking of connection ports, the Oppo Reno6 uses a USB-C port placed on the bottom of the Oppo android. Here too, you can find mono speaker support which we are aware there will definitely be some people who are upset about it.

Optionally, there is also another color called Aurora. But unfortunately, we did not get a chance to see its beauty with our own eyes. But, Oppo informed that Aurora’s color choices can also change according to the user’s point of view. For example, it can turn blue and sometimes show a green finish.

OnePlus 7T Pro Device

OnePlus 7T Pro Device

This is a OnePlus 7T Pro device McLaren Edition is the most perfect OnePlus device, although there are some shortcomings. Ideally, OnePlus should launch this device from scratch instead of starting with the OnePlus 7T or OnePlus 7T Pro. Beautiful and great curved screen, where the curves are not so deep, a very smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a very immersive screen usage experience. Not to forget also that the screen of this device has HDR10+rating. Perghhh, steady isn’t it?

Oh yes, the performance is the best so far in all the flagship android. I’ve tried Huawei, Samsung, Pixel and iPhone – I’ve never seen a device that is as fast and very smooth as this OnePlus. The camera and battery are also indeed good, this device excels in both and is finally able to compete closely with other competitors.

The 4085mAh battery provides a usage life that in my experience no device has the same battery stability as the device. Remember, this device has 90Hz and QHD+! Yes, it’s true other devices already have fast charging systems up to 65W, but this 30W -based 30T is already satisfying. If that’s not enough, for those who love to roam this device also supports the 15W USB-PD system.

This OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition is the most expensive OnePlus android to date. In foreign countries, this device is categorized as a flagship device at the price of a premium middle class device. So it’s worth it. But in Malaysia, the price is very expensive and the price of the Samsung Galaxy Note10+ device; which is fully equipped with various functions and features can be purchased at a much cheaper price. So, the comparison I can give is, this OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition is an alternative for those who are interested in the Google Pixel 4 XL. The Pixel is not officially sold in Malaysia; and the Oxygen OS used on this device is the closest to native Android.

The official price in Malaysia is RM3,899. Compared to the expensive iPhone 11 Pro Max; or Google Pixel 4 XL and close to RM5K, this OnePlus is the best choice.

OnePlus 7 Pro Review

OnePlus 7 Pro Review

Best camera quality? In the OnePlus 7 Pro review, it didn’t score that high. The picture results are still unsatisfactory and the HDR value is too bright and sometimes every picture taken has an orange filter effect. But on this OnePlus 7T Pro, the results are seen to be better.

The colors on the image are more pop, every detail of the texture on objects like hair and skin is clearly visible. The sample selfie photo below is from the camera of this device and if you see for yourself – it is a high quality image. Not only that, look at the background, the depth value for portrait mode images is indeed clear and realistic. However, the selfie camera doesn’t have auto-focus-so images sometimes don’t have good focus.

Glad to the OnePlus because, the digital zoom on this OnePlus android is already improved and approaching the greatness of digital zoom that the Pixel 4 can do. The digital zoom quality of this device has good details, acceptable colors and is indeed beyond expectations. The OnePlus’s focus isn’t on zoom, so I can’t compare it to a device with a periscope camera like the Huawei P30 Pro.

The ultra wide angle image is one of the image results that surprised me. Who would have thought that a OnePlus device, can take ultra -wide angle photos with almost no distortion? The results are encouraging. No matter in a lot of light or less light such as at night, the result is neat, good colors and clear details.

The downside of OnePlus is it’s still in night mode, or what OnePlus calls it Nightscape. To this day, in my opinion no one can oppose the Pixel night mode via Night Sight or even the night mode on the Huawei P30 Pro and above. In fact, Apple was finally able to put night mode in the iPhone 11.

OS in OnePlus 7T Pro

OS in OnePlus 7T Pro

Oxygen OS in OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition is real native android. The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition was among the earliest devices to receive Android 10, before the Pixel 4. The operating system that OnePlus used was Oxygen OS 10, which to this day many still consider this Oxyen OS to be a better native Android operating system than native Android. actual used on the Pixel.

This Oxygen OS was only introduced in 2015, which is a year after the OnePlus One. During the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X, OnePlus no longer used ColorOS and CyanogenMod but instead started using Hydrogen OS and Oxygen OS. Back then, Oxygen OS was already known as the simplest operating system and close to native Android. The difference is, Oxygen OS offers more customization options and users can customize according to their tastes.

With the introduction of Oxygen OS 10, it is more in line with Android 10. Many functions are limited to the Pixel, OnePlus comes with an alternative version to offer to their users. Oxygen OS is also the same as any operating system, there will definitely be bugs. Where there is an operating system that is 100% stable and fully functional without any problems. OnePlus’ own operating system is also the fastest operating system to receive updates. Once upon a time, a monthly security patch update came on OnePlus before the Pixel.

What is interesting this time on Oxygen OS 10 ?. Of course, in line with the current trend is a dark mode or a dark theme. With this mode on the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition device, battery usage will be more economical due to the AMOLED screen. Of course, full gesture control as if a combination of the iPhone X and Xiaomi is now introduce. This control is very smooth and fast.

The USB-C charging port is located on the bottom along with the previous SIM tray and speaker lattice. Although the lattice is only one, the speakers are stereo, they are loud and powerful as they are optimize by Dolby Atmos. The other lattice is at the top of the device near between the screen and the frame.

OnePlus 7T Pro Camera

OnePlus 7T Pro Camera

In terms of OnePlus 7T Pro camera, OnePlus is indeed known for its stable 60fps 4K video recording capability and has acceptable camera quality. However, this time OnePlus brought a very surprising surprise. The camera results this time are much better. The camera settings of the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition are 48MP + 8MP + 16MP for the rear camera. Which lenses used are a combination of wide lens, 3x zoom telephoto lens and ultra wide angle lens. For the selfie camera, OnePlus uses a pop-up system with a 16MP lens.

There’s a camera bump on this device, but the design is similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro so it’s no surprise. But, the bulge remains bulging and the lens is covered with glass. So, for safety just use the protective frame and thankfully in this McLaren edition box – a durable protective frame is already provided. The frame has an aramid fiber finish and Alcantara fabric. It is a full bumper type frame like other bumpers that OnePlus sells. Comfortable in the hand but a little thick.

The design of this OnePlus camera is classic, as it is now a round or rectangular bulge. So, this camera arrangement looks a bit behind. Thankfully, the bulge used is not very thick and acceptable. Since no periscope camera is used, in my opinion OnePlus should just thicken the back panel and make it flat. I’m sure many will love it and feel more comfortable.

The battery on this device is 4085mAh with Warp Charge 30T fast charging support. What is 30T? It is a 30W fast charging system that is 23% faster than a regular 30W. This is also the largest battery capacity from OnePlus to date. The only disappointment is, until now OnePlus still does not include wireless charging.

Complementing the specifications of this OnePlus android are, support for Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and also splash protection. However, the splash proofs that OnePlus uses do not receive any IP certification and only claim their own. Overall, the specifications on this device are very satisfactory and the only flaw is the absence of wireless charging and no IP protection only.

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition show that this year is arguably crazy year for OnePlus. They are not producing two devices a year, but this year there are 7 different types of devices namely; OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition & OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition 5G. When the OnePlus 7 was introduced, it didn’t impress at all and was just a slightly improved OnePlus 6T. Meanwhile, unlike the OnePlus 7 Pro which has the usual probe shock. Curved screen, refresh rate as high as 90Hz, fast charging 30W, splash proof and exciting camera performance.

With the success of the OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus brings that greatness to the OnePlus 7T. From the front it looks like a OnePlus 7, but the rear design uses a washing machine camera bulge, superior camera quality with macro support, multiplied performance with the Snapdragon 855+, as well as a 90Hz screen. If the 7T is already great, what about the 7T Pro? If the 7T Pro isn’t Pro enough, there’s another the most expensive and most powerful – the OnePlus 7T Pro. I’ve been using this OnePlus android as my daily device for over a month and to me, this is a device that OnePlus deserves to produce from the very beginning. To find out more, this is a review article and please read to the end.

The OnePlus 7T Pro uses a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen. It’s not the usual AMOLED that OnePlus uses, but it’s a 90Hz Fluid Display that delivers high refresh rate capability. This indirectly makes this device feel fast, smooth and really fast like a McLaren car.

Below this screen, there is a built -in fingerprint scanner below the optical type screen. Throughout this 2019, this fingerprint scanner is the fastest I have ever tested. It’s accurate, fast and if the fingers are sweaty it can still scan (sometimes).

Redmi 10 Screen

Redmi 10 Screen

The Redmi 10 screen of this device is quite good, as it has FHD resolution. In terms of color it is just normal and if just use it for indoors, it has good color and acceptable brightness. When buying a device like this, expectations for the screen should not be placed on a high level and one should expect there will be a shortage compared to more expensive devices.

Watching YouTube or Netflix is pretty good, with YouTube supporting at 1440p60fps on some videos and Netflix supporting HD without any issues. Only, the color will fade a little if watching a video that is supposed to have HDR format. The 90Hz refresh rate only works at certain times. We expect that it is due to insufficient 4GB RAM memory as well as problems on MIUI not being efficient enough with low memory.

Speaking of MIUI, the device is running MIUI 12.5; with the August security patch update through version 12.5.4 at the time this review was written. It’s among the best; but with a global version full of fat apps, ads still there, the user experience is less appealing. Low memory, ads and applications make the device slower.

Even so, use for lightweight productivity like Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams or even the lightest via Google Duo – this Redmi android won’t present any major problems. It can run well. Only MIUI 12.5.6 still has a few notification problems, unfair memory management between the global; and Chinese versions of MIUI and is not very satisfactory if you want to use this device for casual.

Anyway, this update received earlier is more recent than the Xiaomi 11T Pro which is still MIUI 12.5.4. Clearly here, quick updates are an important focus of Xiaomi no matter what class the device is in.

Battery in Pixel 4

Battery in Pixel 4

The battery in Pixel 4 is also among the disadvantages of this device. But, with my use that makes the Pixel 4 as my second device actually the battery is just enough. But if made as a primary daily device it may not be. The battery is only 2800mAh, 90Hz screen, AMOLED, a lot of power consumption for machine learning and artificial intelligence – too much power consumption for a small battery.

2800mAh for this much usage is not suitable. Already I use all the built -in Pixel 4 functions, including Motion Sense. The battery I get is around 2-3 hours SOT if using it to an extreme. However if my usage is light, there is no problem at all to achieve 5 hours of SOT with a 90Hz screen. Then the 18W USB-PD charging was fast enough for me. People’s term now is “Where do you want to go fast?”.

The Google Pixel 4 is undeniably a great android. It has good and satisfactory camera performance. If. Yes there is if, ignore the ultra wide angle lens. The quality of the camera to this day is still hard for me to forget since the Pixel 2 again. No Pixel, no GCam. The color is alive, the value of keHDRannya bright, beautiful and satisfied to the eye. Not to forget also with the Pixel 4, the audio quality when recording video is much better and surprisingly.

Turning to performance, yes the benchmark score is not able to compete with other devices. But haters will still hate. Because if you don’t use this device, you won’t understand why I really appreciate this device. The experience of using native Android is very satisfying and no other device can produce Android as well as this.

Yes I understand, the battery is categorized as garbage, unsatisfactory performance, and the camera is only two lenses. But I am still fond of this device. I’ve been using Android devices since 2013, no other device is as smart as this Google Pixel. In fact, while I was using the Nexus 5X the experience of using the original Android was also different.

Google Pixel 4 Cameras

Okay, this is where many Google Pixel 4 cameras don’t like it. Many are frustrated that Google has become as stingy as Apple. But, back to your usage. Pixel 4 is not for all users and only certain users will choose this device. Pixel 4 is for those who love a good native Android usage experience and a taste of how to use a real smart device. It’s really smart in terms of software and that’s what Google is focused on.

Like me, yes I love cameras with ultra wide angle lenses. But, if not I can just live or just use the pixel android. The case on the Pixel 4, I can honestly say with the picture quality that the Pixel can produce continues to make me forget about the ultra wide angle lens. He’s good enough. I’m comfortable using it.

Ok, for Night Sight. Yes, she is indeed satisfied and beautiful. But, I was disappointed because I couldn’t take beautiful and satisfying astrophotographic pictures. The location I stayed at was a location that didn’t have a lot of stars and this was the best result I could get. Still, the other results are fine. There was an obvious noise situation, but it wasn’t bad.

For Top Shot images, this is an example of what a Top Shot is. Actually it is burst mode only. Only with Google’s ingenuity, it can choose the most beautiful, neat and stable results. What do you say? Can you excuse Google for not putting an ultra-wide angle lens, but you will get a satisfactory picture result. Check out the other samples below, and express your opinion in the comments section.

Since Pixel 2016, Google has been using stereo speakers on Pixel 4. But only on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 does Google use front -facing stereo speakers. Since the Pixel 3a again Google has returned the concept of earpiece speakers + audio drive under the device, just like the original Pixel.

Google Assistant in Pixel 4

Google Assistant in Pixel 4

Only Google Assistant in Pixel 4 is smoother and with a new interface. Oh yes, also on the Pixel 4 there is already Google Assistant support that can listen to commands continuously, without the user having to repeatedly say “Hey, Google”.

Dual-Camera Only !!!

The combination of 16MP + 12.2MP lens as the main camera is a wise choice from Google. Yes, I will never forget and remain disappointed that there is no ultra wide angle lens support. But this telephoto mode that Google offers is different from the others and interesting to use. Then, you have to remember why Google continues to use 16MP and 12.2MP – Megapixel size is not a determinant of great camera quality. It depends on the software, the type of sensor and also the photography expertise.

Social Share, Astrophotography & Frequent Face

This is a smart function that Google introduced in the Pixel android series 4. I’ll tell you about its ingenuity only here, the picture quality you can read in the camera section in another paragraph. Social Share is a quick sharing that users can do immediately after taking a picture. There will be three social media platform options to choose from.

Astrophotography is a new night mode built into Night Sight. It can take pictures of the stars in the sky, but unfortunately can’t capture the love stars of my heart .. Actually, this function is a long exposure mode only. Depending on the ambient light conditions, this mode will set itself the appropriate shutter time. Sometimes from 30 seconds, there are situations reaching from 1 minute to over 2 minutes.

Frequent Face is a function that will focus on one individual only when taking pictures. So when taking Motion Photos, Top Shot – the picture that most often the individual is in focus will have a more interesting picture result.

Google Pixel 4 Device

Google Pixel 4 Device

Using this Google Pixel 4 device reminds me of the days of using the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8. This device is a lightweight and thin device. When stored in a pants pocket, honestly I can say it almost feels like no device is stored. Many times also I use this device before bed. I would use it without a frame as well, as the frame is already comfortable to use – so it’s not easy to fall on my face. While lying down, while holding is also not a problem.

Interesting & Smart Functions

Pixel 4 this time offers many smart functions that are indeed A+. To this day I still use the Pixel 4 as my second device because of these interesting functions.

Ambient EQ

Ambient EQ is Google’s answer to True Tone by Apple. It can change the display of the device according to the surrounding light conditions. It’s not Night Light, or Adaptive Display – but more of adjusting the white color balance on the device. So according to the outside light conditions, the display of the device will always be suitable and comfortable for the user to see.

Always-On Display

It is not a new function. In fact, Nokia has been using it since the days of Lumia devices. It is a display mode that only displays the time, date, notifications and some other information on the lock screen. More interesting to use is on OLED devices. This is because the black color is real black and only the information displayed will turn on the OLED on the android device panel.

On Pixel 4, if using Pixel Stand or any wireless charger that supports Pixel 3/Pixel 4-it will change to Google Assistant Ambient Mode. That is the Google Assistant mode that works almost completely while the device is charging. To make it easier to understand, it will turn the device into a smart display like Google Nest Hub by displaying more information, controlling music or even displaying Google Photos.

Google Pixel 4 Phone

What have you done with this Google Pixel 4 phone? I personally don’t understand with Google right now. Yes, they are companies that focus on software rather than hardware. But for software to run better, there has to be great hardware.

Supposedly Google should raise the minimum storage option to 128GB and use the UFS 3.0 format. Google Photos’ original size unlimited storage offer is no longer available. The Pixel 4 has pretty good camera quality and definitely has a great size. 64GB for 2019? Google’s stupid choice.

We move on to the camera specifications. Like Apple a few years ago, Google is also stubbornly following other competing companies. As such, the camera on the Pixel 4 has only two lenses. While now is the trend of quad-camera or penta-camera. Google sluggishly uses dual-lenses. Apple, meanwhile, has shifted in trend, using tri-cameras. The lenses used are 16MP and 12.2MP for the rear camera. It is a regular wide -angle lens and a telephoto lens. There are no ultra -wide -angle lenses that many want, as Google states telephoto lenses are more important. God, Google, Google. I am writing a review article this also continues to feel disappointed. But, as a fan I have to look for more positive things.

The selfie camera is 8MP and there is only one lens for selfies. The thick front forehead holds flood-emitting type near infrared (NIR) lenses, point projector type and camera. No more dual-lenses like the Pixel 3. But it has a satisfying wide-angle view. I will describe the other sensors in another paragraph. The battery on this device is only 2800mAh with 18W USB Power Delivery fast charging support and 10W wireless charging.

Complementing the android device specs that so far have bland specs are Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Active Edge pinch sensor, Motion Sense (Soli radar chip), haptic engine that has textured and sharp mimics as well as IP68 waterproof protection.
