Mechanism in Galaxy A80

Mechanism in Galaxy A80

Speaking of the pop-rotate mechanism in Galaxy A80, it takes two seconds to complete the front camera opening cycle. This is quite a long time if we compare it to other device pop-up systems on the market. There is a gap of about an inch that opens when the camera goes up. This space will trap dirt easily. Almost every day we have to clean this space to avoid trapped dust that might block the movement of the camera.

The Galaxy A80’s pop-rotate camera mechanism may look pretty but we’re a little worried about its long-term durability. On Samsung’s official website, there is no information on the number of pop-spin tests they have done. Personal experience using the Oppo N3 before this made us a little worried because in two years, the mechanism on the device became loose in just a year. This may be the reason why Oppo no longer uses this design on their Samsung android.

It has a safety system that keeps the camera on when detecting when the device is dropped. But the time it took was too long to store the camera before it fell to the floor. Even the official frame sold by Samsung has a long strap for the wrist. Preventing the device from falling is better because the top of the official frame of it is still open which does not provide any protection from impact.

Undoubtedly the design of the Galaxy A80 is the most innovative we’ve seen since the Oppo Find X. Both devices use a pop-up mechanism that makes the top of the device move. The completely screen design with no notches or holes is also very sexy. The experience of watching videos on the giant 6.7 ″ Galaxy A80 screen is different from the others. The device is still comfortable to use one hand despite its relatively large size. But at the same time there are concerns about the level of resistance of the mechanism if dropped and the space between the mechanisms that trap dust.

To get the Samsung Galaxy A80 design of all screens, speakers for the ears are placed at the bottom of the screen. This is the third device with such a system that we have reviewed after the Mi MIX and P30 Pro. As with the two devices we mentioned earlier, the audio quality of the under-screen speakers used is less than satisfactory. It’s still not on par with a physical speaker. Some reports say that the Sound on Display system will also be used on the Galaxy Note 10 after this. This technology also makes stereo audio support unsupported through speakers.

Following the current trend, a fingerprint scanner below the screen is included. It is of the optical type and works slower than the ultrasonic type found on the Galaxy S10. This used scanner is the slowest and most problematic we have ever reviewed. Fingers need to be pressed hard and long on the scanner before the device is unlocked. We can say it is better to use a passcode system on the Galaxy A80 than a scanner because it is too slow.

Generating the Samsung android is a Snapdragon 730G chip that is matched with 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage. However no Micro SD card support is included. This is a strange choice because the device it is a standard function of Samsung devices for over a decade. The good news is that the device still supports two nano -sized SIMs.

The main camera incorporates a 48+8+Megapixel TOF sensor. It is Samsung’s second device after the Galaxy 10 5G that comes with a sensor capable of detecting depth. The 48-Megapixel main sensor is for normal image recording while the 8-Megapixel sensor is used on ultra-wide-angle lenses. There is no optical zoom capability on this device.

Completing the specifications is a 3700 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. This is the fastest charging system used by Samsung which previously only supported 15W charging. In addition to the Galaxy A80, this fast charger is also included on the Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy A70.

Pixel 3a XL Speakers

Pixel 3a XL Speakers

Like the previous Google Pixel, this device also has stereo Google Pixel 3a XL speakers. One on the earpiece side and another on the bottom. To me that was a bad location, as the previous Pixel was on the chin side. With the location at the bottom, hands will block out the audio – indirectly providing an unsatisfactory experience.

Thankfully, the results sound pretty good and not bad. Just, at the maximum sound level – the sound is a little sharp. This is because, these speakers have not great bass. So the result sounds a little confusing and annoying. Listening from a distance, the results are quite encouraging.

First play, watch video or listen to music – audio results are ‘ok’. I’m just thankful that a middle class android has stereo speakers.

The appropriate score for me is only 6/10.

Taking regular pictures as well, the most interesting is the result of a pretty good dynamic range. The color is sharp, the details are clear and quite bright. Throughout use there is no immediate sense of disappointment. Next up is the selfie camera. Imagine, a single -lens selfie camera on the front can also produce a very stunning portrait mode.

Next, I also tested the Night Sight night mode. The performance is a bit slow, but the results given make me ignore the performance of the camera. Patience is half of faith? So what’s wrong with waiting just a few moments for a picture result that excites yourself. Every photo I take makes me think – am I a professional photographer? Whereas I am just a noob in the work of taking pictures.

While this device doesn’t have Pixel Visual Core, uploading videos on Instagram Stories – the results aren’t as bad as the OnePlus 7 Pro device. The OnePlus 7 Pro device which officially sold for up to RM4199, lost to the middle class device? Not sure what Google is doing to have better Instgram Stories results than other Android devices.

The camera score of this device is 9/10.

Mi 9T Pop-Up Camera

Mi 9T Pop-Up Camera

At the top, there is a Mi 9T pop-up camera with an attractive LED finish. When the camera is raised, the light will illuminate according to the color of the device. At the top of the camera, there is also an LED that acts as an indication for charging only. At the bottom there is a USB-C port and a speaker lattice. On the side there is a colored power button, along with a volume button.

The Mi 9T dare I say it has a better design than the Mi 9. A mid range android with a more premium design with a flagship device? What is this? When compared to the Pocophone, the Poco lags very far with plastic building materials that look very cheap.

The score for the design is 10/10.

The Xiaomi Mi 9T is priced at an official price of RM1199 for the 6/64 GB variation and RM1399 for the 6/128 GB variation. This device is sold with a very cheap price tag, because in China the Redmi K20 is sold at a price of over RM1210. Competitive specifications, premium design, great performance and satisfactory camera – the price of a device like this is very affordable.

The price score is 10/10.

There is no denying that the Pocophone F1 has much better performance. But you have to remember, the sacrifice of the Pocophone F1 is on the building materials as well as the camera. Meanwhile, the Mi 9T focuses on both good performance and premium building materials. Both of these devices have their own focus. How do you choose? If you want to play for the first time only and are not surprised by the building materials, camera or screen – Pocophone F1 is an option.

But if you want a device that has good enough performance, fancy -looking building materials, a great camera and a nice screen – the Xiaomi Mi 9T is a good choice.

Xiaomi Mi 9T Camera

Apart from performance, a Xiaomi Mi 9T camera is also an important aspect in owning a device. Most users want a great camera, but don’t want to spend a lot of money. So a device like the Mi 9T is an option, just is it a smart choice? The Mi 9T’s main camera is a tri-lens that combines a 48MP main lens + 8MP telephoto lens and a 13MP ultra-wide lens.

The android camera settings are on trend right now, I’m so thankful for that. The results of the pictures taken are satisfactory. The HDR color can be said to be a bit faded, but not too faded and the colors available are quite sharp. Then, the details in each picture are excellent. The results of the ultra-wide lens and zoom are a bit disappointing. The color is already good, but the details are less than satisfactory. However, the portrait results are quite good. But it will only be good when the focus is right. Otherwise, the blur results are uneven.

As for the selfie camera, the recording results are satisfactory. Especially portrait images. Then the normal mode, it has a satisfactory color. Night mode, on the other hand, is pretty good, just doesn’t have high expectations. Overall, the Mi 9T’s camera is many times better than the Pocophone F1’s camera.

For video footage, I’m not very fond of it. Xiaomi’s mid -range devices do often have unsatisfactory video results. It has no OIS, the results are less than satisfactory. Then IG Story is definitely still unrepaired and has a 3GP -like recording result. he fingerprint scanner, on the other hand, is the bottom of the screen type, it’s pretty fast – but often fails. To me so far for 2019, the OnePlus has the fastest fingerprint scanner and the Samsung Galaxy S10 is the most accurate.

The overall camera score is 8/10.

Xiaomi Mi 9T

Xiaomi Mi 9T

Xiaomi to this day is no stranger to selling their smartphones at relatively cheap prices and one of them is Xiaomi Mi 9T. The smartphone that is changing people’s perception of Xiaomi devices is, the Pocophone F1. This is because this device has the pinnacle specifications but is sold at the price of a middle class device.

Xiaomi continues this legacy with the Redmi K20 device or for the global market the Xiaomi Mi 9T. This device is in the category of middle class android, but has many features like a landmark device. This is our review.

The Xiaomi Mi 9T has a 6.39-inch screen size, AMOLED panel and uses a full frameless screen design without notches. Dare I say that the Mi 9T’s AMOLED panel is better than the Xiaomi Mi 8. When the screen is closed, it doesn’t look like the gray color that happens on the Mi 8, but its black color has a pretty dark hue.

When the screen is turned on, the first glance alone is already positive and shows a lot of good things. The first is sufficient brightness and a fairly sharp color, yet full of details. Most Xiaomi mid -range devices typically don’t have relatively good brightness, but the Mi 9T has satisfactory brightness. As for color, HDR content on YouTube shows very sharp colors. Then, the details are very good and have amazing quality.

I use this device to watch a lot of serial dramas on Netflix, and I use this device more times than the OnePlus 7 Pro. Why? First, the screen of the device is not of the curved type and when zoomed to fill the screen, the video content is not cropped much. Then, the screen of this device also provides a very immersive viewing experience.

Xiaomi Mi A3 Shape

Xiaomi Mi A3 Shape

The Xiaomi Mi A3 shape is seen to bring a more charming and premium design compared to the Xiaomi Mi A2 and Xiaomi Mi A1 models. It comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 -based construction, which can give an elegant look like an upscale device. Holding this device also feels very comfortable in the hand as it is neither too small nor too big. Only this glass design easily traps fingerprints, which can be overcome with the TPU frame provided for free.

On the side, it features a speaker button and power button on the right, while a hybrid dual-sim slot is housed on the left. This interesting dual-sim slot now comes with microSD support, which is a function that has been remove on the Xiaomi Mi A2. At the top, it has also restored the 3.5mm audio jack connection, in addition to maintaining the IR blaster connection. At the bottom, however, it includes a USB-C-based connection, along with mono-based android speakers.

Moving to the front, it brings a 6,088-inch AMOLED display, offering HD+ resolution at a 19.5: 9 ratio. It was heavily criticize because this resolution no longer meets the features of mid-range devices for 2019. But because it uses an AMOLED display, this display looks very bright-making me sometimes forget it actually comes with HD+ resolution only. It gives a charming, true black color, yet there is little pixel visibility when viewed at close range.

With the use of AMOLED screen, Xiaomi Mi A3 has taken advantage of this display panel; by presenting a fingerprint scanner system under the screen. The performance of this fingerprint scanner can read fingers well; but is sometimes less consistent in terms of device opening time. Sometimes it’s fast, and sometimes it takes a few seconds to open the device. Alternatively, Xiaomi still offers face scanning function through the use of the front camera.

OnePlus 7 Performance

OnePlus 7 Performance

The 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip is very helpful in terms of OnePlus 7 performance. Paired with the Adreno 640 graphics chip, this device delivers great performance. Because OnePlus may feel this device isn’t fast enough, the storage used is UFS3.0 -based. Indirectly make the process of opening, closing, switching applications smooth.

Before we go into the first play android reviews, we first look at the performance of daily assignments. For users who frequently open a lot of apps and types who don’t often remove them from the list of open apps, this device has a very smooth performance. The memory on this device is at least 8GB of RAM, so plenty of memory is very helpful. 8GB of RAM believe it or not is actually not a gimmick. Because devices like the Pixel 3 with 4GB of RAM have less than satisfactory performance.

With a lot of memory, usually half of the RAM will be stored to run applications in the background. While the rest is to focus on the application being used. So this device does not have any time lag, micro-lag, freezes, or even erases by itself. Performance for daily tasks has the performance that many dream of.

Turning to the first, of course it is smooth and satisfying. The firsts tested as usual are PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9. These devices do not support screens with high refresh rates, so any firsts with high graphics are enough to test. The playing performance of the first two is very smooth, fast and gives imagination to the user as if he is a professional in the first field.

The OnePlus 7’s main camera is a dual-camera system that combines a 48MP main lens and a 5MP depth lens. The selfie camera is 16MP, which also serves as a camera to scan faces to unlock the device. Other specifications are like the use of Bluetooth 5.0 on this device and also has NFC support.

For security, this device uses an optical type screen bottom fingerprint scanner. The operating system used is OxygenOS which is based on Android Pie. OnePlus also retains a silent button that needs to be slid to the side like an iPhone.

OnePlus 7 Speaker

OnePlus 7 Speaker

Like the OnePlus 7 Pro, the OnePlus 7 speaker also has stereo speakers. One at the bottom and one at the top, in the frame area of the device. There is a long lattice of speakers. This time OnePlus partnered with Dolby Atmos to make the audio output from this device better than the old OnePlus devices.

Video recording capabilities are also good. As always, the OnePlus is known for its stable 60FPS 4K video recording capabilities. It also has the ability to record slow motion video at 1080p resolution, but it is limited to 240FPS only. Other interesting functions built into the camera application are such as UltraShot, Nightscape, Studio Lighting, Portrait, Pro Mode, Panorama, HDR, AI Scene Detection and even RAW Image. Below is a sample photo of Nightscape, which is night mode. It’s trying to mimic Huawei, but can’t compete yet. the result is just ok.

Controlling the first is also easy, the hands become agile due to its speed. More interestingly, there are no serious heating device issues. Making the first game experience even more awesome is with the Fnatic first mode. It is the first mode of OnePlus in collaboration with the Fnatic e-sports team. It makes the gaming experience better, no interruptions and faster Internet connection.

Benchmark test scores are also encouraging. Just look at these AnTuTu and Geekbench scores. It is in the category of other high -performance flagship android.

We continue the comments in category pre restoration to the operating system used. OnePlus 7 runs OxygenOS based on Android 9.0 Pie. For those who do not know about this OxygenOS, it is like the original Android, but with many interesting customization capabilities. So native Android itself has a good Android device usage experience, coupled with a lot of modification capabilities – it makes gadget fans very excited and fun.

Samsung One UI

Samsung One UI

The Android 9 Pie operating system is used with the Samsung One UI 1.5 launcher. This is a more up -to -date interface than the One One 1.1 used on the S10. At a glance there is no drastic difference we can find on the One UI this time. There is a saying that if there are no obvious flaws why need to be repaired> We understand One UI 1.5 is just an update that brings some new functions exclusive to the Note 10 on the device launched but now has also received all three S10 through last week’s update.

As you already know, One UI is designed to make it even easier to use one -handed without having to activate one -handed mode. Interface elements are placed at the bottom of the screen. The design is also more minimalist than the Samsung Experience. With screen sizes exceeding 6 ″, an interface that facilitates navigation is essential. With One UI, we have no problem scrolling the notification tray at the top of the screen and the navigation tray at the bottom of the screen. This is another positive thing Samsung has done to ensure that user friendliness is not sacrificed simply by wanting to use a giant screen.

There are still three on-screen navigation buttons, namely multi-task, home and back. The arrangement of the buttons can be changed according to the user’s wishes. A gesture system like the original Android Pie is also included but the option to use the Original Android navigation system is still not given.

But if you want to use the device without any on -screen navigation buttons; there is a scrolling navigation option from the bottom of the screen. Again we want to say this Samsung gesture -based navigation system is not intuitive. We can only pray on the next version of One UI, Samsung will comply with the request of users who want Native Android navigation to be given as an option.

In line with the new One UI, the process of doing multi windows has also changed. There are no more special buttons to launch it but the user presses the multi-task button; press the application icon to open the multi-window menu before selecting the application they want to use. The multi-window activation process on our great Samsung Experience is much better.

Note 10 Plus Power Buttons

Note 10 Plus Power Buttons

No more Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus power buttons on the right. Instead the voice and power buttons are changed to the left side of the device. The special button just for Bixby is now extinct and also serves as a power button. As a Note 9 user over the past year, this power button location change makes usage a little awkward. Our fingers searched for the repositioned power button.

For those who want to summon Bixby, this can still be done by pressing the power button for a second. The construction of the buttons is still sturdy and easily accessible by fingers even with one hand. A hybrid dual SIM tray and a micro SD card are placed on the top of the device. You need a needle to dig it out.

As we mentioned in the P30 Pro review, we were less fond of the use of one button for two different functions. We feel keeping the power button on the right side is actually a more ergonomic option as users have been familiar with this configuration for years.

If the body borrows from Sony and Nokia, the camera arrangement also borrows from Huawei. The three main cameras are arranged vertically in the upper left corner of the device. On the Note 10+, the TOF sensor is placed under a flashlight located next to the camera lens. We sincerely say again we don’t feel this is a negative thing. With all the cameras placed at the corners, the fingers are getting harder to block the lens when trying to take a picture. What we felt a bit hurt was that the P30 Pro borrowed the front and side design from the Samsung Galaxy S. Now the Note 10 also borrowed the P30 Pro camera design.

There are rumors a Sound On Screen system will be introduced on the Note 10 as there is no more room for physical speakers if the bezel becomes too thin. You can all breathe a sigh of relief as the physical speakers are still included on the top of the device. This is matched to a speaker on the bottom. AKG and Dolby Atmos stereo audio support is still included. For those who watch videos on Samsung android.

Honor 50 Camera Quality

Honor 50 Camera Quality

The Honor 50 camera quality is seen to be able to give good image results. Focusing on the subject is also quick and easy to take pictures. Each resulting capture looks good with a satisfying detail on the subject. Color reproduction is also acceptable. Except, when in poor light conditions. Where, the details of the details on the subject begin to diminish.

Certain situations are also easy to spot noise and color reproduction is quite frustrating. Not only that, the light source in some cases also becomes too bright. The bokeh performance looks very neat when examined on the side of the object. With a 2MP macro sensor, the picture quality is as expected which is less than satisfactory but acceptable. Digital zoom is capable of producing good pictures up to 5X.

Battery Durability

Honor 50 comes with a 4,300mAh battery. In the most moderate use, it is able to record an SOT of up to 11 hours, while heavy use shows an SOT record of around 6 hours. It should be noted that this average lifespan must vary depending on the use of each. For recharging, it can be done in around 47 minutes with the 66W powered charger provided by Honor in the purchase box.

In conclusion, Honor smartphones are now getting better. The Honor 50 is a good smart device complete with a versatile package. It has camera support with various modes. His performance also looks great and realistic depending on the situation. Then, the beautiful, clear and vibrant screen display turned out to be very satisfying.

The support of a finger sensor capable of accurately recognizing fingers and the smooth overall performance of the device is also commendable. The return of GMS support also gave him a bonus point. Arguably, this is what all consumers are looking forward to. With GMS, various favorite apps can be downloaded through the Playstore Android app warehouse without any problems.

However, curved screen constructions often result in inadvertently touching issues. In addition, overflow screen issues also occur when viewing content in full screen mode. Then, the speakers are also just mono which is a disadvantage for those who want better audio capabilities. The absence of audio jacks also of course makes it difficult for some parties who still rely entirely on wired type earphones.

Honor 50 Phone

Honor 50 Phone

One more thing you need to know, Honor 50 phone comes complete with Google Mobile Services (GMS) support. We are sure many consumers are certainly happy with the existence of GMS. With this, all apps and services from favorite GMS like Google Playstore, YouTube, Maps, Mail or any app that requires a Google login, are now no problem to access. Again said, no big issues here.

In the Geekbench 5 test, the Honor 50 recorded 784 (single-core) / 2,941 (multi-core) marks, while the Antutu 3D test recorded 404,937 marks. We admit, the android device is able to work well and feels fast while in use. We had no problems with the device in the use of various daily tasks, even the first play also felt satisfying. The same goes for most apps, where the process of opening, converting as well as transitioning animations feels just fine.

There are several firsts that have been tested on Honor 50 and we will specify one by one the settings supported by this device. For Mobile Legend Bang Bang (MLBB), it supports up to the highest High settings with HD and HFR support enabled. Next, Call Of Duty (COD) supports the default settings on graphics. Finally, PUBG Mobile has a default setting of HD (graphics) / High (frame rate). It also supports settings to reach Extreme frame rate, but can only be played on Smooth graphics. Touching on the question of heat, there are still heat issues going on for some game sessions and relatively long use. But, it is still acceptable and not too bad.

The device has good performance. We have no problems with the network as a whole. Where, there is no issue to get a stable signal for 4G. Voice calls are also clear, while the receiver also states that the audio quality heard is good. GPS is also fine and there is no problem to lock the location.

Honor 50 Offer

If you want more options, Honor 50 offer in other colors such as Honor Code which this brand is no exception featuring variations to meet the needs of fashion -loving consumers. Then, there are also the colors Emerald Green and Midnight Black which highlight a more elegant and classic look.

Perhaps at first glance, some people think that the Honor 50 in our hands uses a material with a matte -based finish. It turned out to be a mistake, instead it was made entirely of shiny plastic material. This makes it a little slippery and easy to slip out of the grip of the hand – especially when the hands are wet or sweaty. At the same time, it also traps dirt too easily. But, it is not so bad that you have to always clean it regularly. However, in such situations, the use of a frame is highly recommended to ensure that no unwanted incidents occur on the Honor android. For example such as the risk of damage caused by your own negligence.

The Honor 50 has a dual-hump camera. One of them is matched with a giant lens. Meanwhile, another hump is loaded with three small lenses along with LED Flash. Honor Chess received a mixed reaction; and can even be said to be a hot topic discussed by most parties, including ourselves. It does look a bit weird and strange, but it’s still unique with different elements. Plus with the presence.

Next, the design of the front panel shows that there is a small hole for the selfie camera. It can be found in the middle of the screen. For those who do not like its existence, the Hide Cutout option is available through the settings section. Still, what can we say, it will give a worse view due to the large black bars appearing. The quality of the screen displayed looks quite beautiful, bright, clear; and vibrant through the use of a 6.57-inch OLED FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) panel.

Samsung Galaxy Fold Battery

Samsung Galaxy Fold Battery

Despite being equipped with a dual screen, the Samsung Galaxy Fold battery used is only a real 4380mAh. This equates to 80mAh bigger than the Note 10+ and 120mAh smaller than the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. We had this concern that the battery capacity was too small for the Fold but our expectations fell short.

In normal use, the Fold is capable of lasting up to 12 hours with the screen attached for 8 hours. The usage life can reach 26 hours with the screen attached for 6 hours if the device is used more carefully. We feel this is just modest battery life but is forgivable as it is a first generation device. There has been no benchmark for devices with dual foldable screens on the market before.

What is unforgivable is the charging time of 2 hours as it only supports 15W charging at this time. The Note 10+ with a 4300 mAh battery can be charged in just 70 minutes as it supports the 18W charger that comes with every purchase. To ensure the success of their foldable devices, Samsung needs to support a faster charging system. Fold’s target is professionals and they certainly don’t want to wait two hours for the battery to be fully charged.

Audio on tablets is typically better than on smartphones. The larger body size allows for more sleek speakers with a better acoustic chamber installed as can be seen on the iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S6. Fold audio capabilities fall in the midst of smartphones and tablets.

Start positively first. There is true stereo audio support complete with Dolby Atmos on this Samsung android. The two large speakers are placed on two opposite Fold “wings”. When Dolby Atmos is activated, treble crunch, bass rumble and audio volume can be clearly heard. Even at the highest audio level, the audio is still with a very satisfactory audio isolation. This good audio makes watching videos and firsts like COD Mobile very immersive.

The negative thing lies in no more audio jacks. Even now now in November we still find it hard not to say the absence of audio jacks as not a big issue. Also there are no negative comments we can give about the audio on the Fold.

Samsung Galaxy Fold Cameras

The four main Samsung Galaxy Fold cameras combine 12+12+16+3D TOF Megapixel (f/1.5+f/2.4)+f/2.4+f/2.2 sensors with the largest sensor used on ultra-wide angle lenses. The configuration of this camera is the same as on the S10 5G and Note 10+. With a TOF camera, the device can perform special effects of the accented device and produce more accurate bokeh effects. The telephoto system is still only 2X as found on the Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy Note 9. Digital zoom support is up to 10X. With the P30 Pro, Mate 30 Pro and Oppo Reno 10X Zoom supporting an improved seamless zoom system, the Fold camera is a bit outdated in its capabilities.

On the front, a 10-Megapixel f/1.9+f/2.2 sensor is used for high-resolution selfie recording up to 4K 30FPS. Even with only one camera, it can still perform the Live Focus function which gives bokeh special effects can be done in selfie mode.

Last but not least is a 10+8 Megapixel dual-camera in a Samsung folding screen with 30FPS 4K video recording support. This is the camera used as the front camera on the Galaxy S10+. In other words, the Fold camera system is like the GoTenks that are incorporated in the Dragoball Z comic. So not surprisingly, “SNote10+” supports all S10+and Note 10+ camera modes.

The device can capture images in 4: 3, 16: 9, 19: 9 and 1: 1 ratios. For video, there is the ability to record video at a maximum setting of 4K 60 with HDR. The included camera modes are Panorama, Live-Focus, Pro, Instagram and Super Slow Motion.

Video recording is also better than the P30 Pro and Mate 30 Pro but behind the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The recorded audio is clear and most importantly is more even than Huawei devices. Like last year, the champion of video recording on android devices is still held by Apple this year through the 11 Pro Max.

Galaxy Fold Closed Position

Galaxy Fold Closed Position

In the Samsung Galaxy Fold closed position, we found the device still comfortable enough to be kept in a jeans pocket. It has the same height as a Note 10+ but is only three times thicker. For a big -bodied man this may not pose a problem but the female staff at Amanz feel it is too big and heavy for them to use.

The large size is not a problem for us but the weight of the device can indeed be felt. The hands become more sluggish when the device is held. That’s why we don’t use this device as often as other devices we’ve reviewed. For example at night we go to bed early because our hands are sluggish to read the Reddit site.

Another positive thing is that because of its large size it is only comfortable to use with both hands. This at once made us unsuccessful in eliminating the bad habit of using the device; while waiting for the red light to turn green at the traffic light. Fold managed to change two bad habits namely addiction to using the device; and using the device while driving due to its excessive size. It is more effective than Digital Wellbeing and the police on the road in curbing the two big problems of device users in our country.

We were among the first human beings to feel that a Samsung foldable screen device was just a gimmick that had no future. After using it we now better understand why it was produced; and perhaps the earlier predictions written earlier were far deviant.

Fold will change how the device will be used as well as its design in the near future. Fold android design at the moment is still not practical enough for the majority of users out there. The Motorola Razr -like design in our opinion is more practical and will probably become standard after this. The device will have a smaller size, not be too heavy; and most importantly be sold at a more wallet friendly price.

ZTE Axon 30 Camera

This giant ZTE Axon 30 camera module, though not thick – but it gives a gimmick that seems to tell users their camera is powerful enough. Unfortunately, the resulting image is not very interesting. First of all it has an inconsistent problem, probably because the artificial intelligence system is not great enough at processing the captured images. The details can be well preserved, but the color is sometimes not so great and satisfying.

The same goes for the selfie camera, although it looks unique to be able to use the screen as a whole – but with the picture results so bad on a level we can’t forgive. This is where we say ZTE values innovation over quality. See the sample below that we compared with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Xiaomi Mix 4.

The direct image is not sharp and looks soft. Significant blooming when there is a bright light source is also clearly visible. In this situation we felt it was better that the bottom -of -screen selfie camera was not hidden better as on Fold3 than to digest the picture quality which was directly unsatisfactory.

While we applaud this device it supports high quality audio accessories, which is the best alternative after the absence of LG devices. But the speakers are mono, unbalanced and unsatisfactory. Undoubtedly the quality is quite strong and loud, but for devices over RM2000 – it’s a hard thing we accept.

Is it worth it?

According to our sources, ZTE Malaysia will be selling this device soon. Probably around the end of October at a price of around RM2599. With a price like this, it is quite expensive considering; that devices with Snapdragon 870 chips are widely sold at affordable prices. Even under RM2000 can be obtained. With a price like this, the Vivo X60 which is sold at RM2499, we would say is more worth it.

But back to the usage experience. If you want to feel like a device with a bottom-screen camera; that completely hides the camera and provides a good viewing experience-this is for you. But if a selfie camera is still important to you, the camera of this ZTE android is not for you and should choose the other only. You have to choose, do you want innovation or do you want quality?

TCL Plex Operating System

TCL Plex Operating System

The TCL Plex operating system used is TCL UI, which is their distinctive interface. It’s based on Android 9.0 Pie, and the operating system has too many fat apps. Thankfully most of it is disposable which was the first thing we did when receiving this device. Overall, the TCL UI is close to native Android – but still has overly vibrant icons and color combinations.

For the fat app earlier, the one that was not successfully removed was the Support Center. It is a hub for customer service. Inside there is a user manual, contact customer service, diagnose the device and even check the details of the device. Here are some other functions built into this device.

This android OS works well and is simple only. It is not so difficult to understand and in just a few hours, all the intricacies of the functions/features/settings of the sidah device can be memorized and understood. While not having great performance, the benchmark score on this device looks quite good. The score received through AnTuTu is over 200K and for Geekbench 5 it shows a score that is not disappointing. If you are confused as to why the score is good but the usage experience is not, this is because the benchmark score is only from simulation and not actual usage in the real world.

The screen is good, the performance is mediocre and the camera is disappointing-what about the audio? TCL PLEX uses a mono speaker system. It’s not very strong and it’s fine. The quality is at an acceptable level but unsatisfactory. This is because, this device is for video watching entertainment. If the screen alone is good, but the audio isn’t satisfactory – it’s an incomplete thing for an entertainment -focused device.

Fortunately, the speaker when set at the maximum sound level it does not break and is still balanced. Maybe that’s why it’s not so strong? The speakers have less bass, so when watching action videos that have a lot of explosions or shots – the rumble doesn’t quite make it feel interesting.

TCL PLEX Battery

TCL PLEX Battery

The TCL PLEX battery is only 3820mAh which for an entertainment device, it should be 4000mAh and above. Although not reaching 4KmAh, the SOT achieved on this device is in excess of 6 Hours a day. These 6 Hours a day are streaming only, and not yet fully watching videos offline. The battery life of the TCL PLEX is fine and satisfactory. The fast charging system is 18W based on Quick Chrage 3.0, which is an outdated fast charging system. The shoe can charge from 0% -50% in thirty minutes. But in the tests we did, it took a little more time. From 0% -100% is approaching 2 hours.

The main camera of this device uses a three -lens system that combines a 48MP main lens + 16MP ultra wide angle lens + 2MP lens to help video recording be of better quality. Great device on screen only, because the camera quality is really bad. Very disappointing and downright poor quality. The result of the image when the picture is taken directly without changing any settings is so soft for a human picture. Then, the details are also unattractive and when turning off the beauty mode – the quality is slightly better but downright unsatisfactory.

For ultra wide angle quality is fine, but will only have good quality if in good light conditions. The camera on the TCL android, on the other hand, has a fairly significant focus problem. What we noticed was, the focus would run away when the atmosphere didn’t have enough light. For pictures in low light conditions, although there is a distinctive night mode – the quality is very poor. Too much noise, poor quality, broken pictures and straightforward details running out.

The selfie camera is 24MP and it has much better quality than the rear camera. The selfie results are neat and acceptable. But sometimes, the light in the background is too exposed and makes the picture as if there are no details for the background. While there are many negatives to the TCL PLEX camera, there are pros as well in terms of software. The TCL PLEX camera app can display views from all lenses simultaneously and users only need to press one of the displays to go directly to the camera mode.

Entry of TCL Plex

Entry of TCL Plex

This year, TCL want to try to re -enter the smartphone arena by introducing the entry of TCL Plex and several other models that will be launched in the future. In this article, I will comment on TCL Plex. Is it worth it and should you buy it?

What and who is TCL? TCL is the company responsible for producing BlackBerry and Alcatel devices. In addition, they also produce TCL brand smartphones – but not very popular. Oh yes, let’s not forget that TCL is also a company that produces affordable televisions that are only marketed in the United States.

The TCL Plex is a device that is in the middle class category. The device uses a 6.53-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen with technology from their television-NXTVISION. The LCD screen is certainly not as great as the OLED, but with this NXTVISION technology it makes the screen of the TCL PLEX device very great and beyond expectations. NXTVISION is the technology that TCL uses on their televisions. It is a system that can convert any video content from SDR to HDR. Regardless of YouTube, VLC, Netflix or other applications, video color quality and detail changes are very different. An easy way to understand is, NXTVISION applies an HDR filter to the screen of the TCL android when the video starts playing. The system also has a reading mode that can adjust the color or brightness of the screen of the device to suit the user.

The experience of using the TCL PLEX screen is indeed different from the others. Quite disappointed because it uses LCD, if OLED screen for sure it will be more compact than usual. When I watch movies/TV series on Netflix, the quality of the content is standard LCD screen and not at all appealing. But once NXTVISION is turned on, the screen quality becomes beautiful and watching something provides an immersive experience.

Legion Duel 2 Design

Legion Duel 2 Design

The Legion Duel 2 design of the device looks unique, but it is not as ergonomic as marketed. The back panel with the big hump in the middle looks weird because all the major components are in it along with the cooling fan with RGB lighting.

There are many control buttons all capacitive type with haptic effect. The back panel is also an additional control using touch controls.

Usage And Software

This device uses software that is quite simple and lightweight. It is easy to operate and compact with a variety of attractive settings to make use as a gaming device more satisfying. It also lacks bloatware making the device quiet only when it is in use or while setting up the device.

Lots of audio and display controls are provided, as well as additional controls for primers such as changing fan speed, changing the color of the RGB lights on the fan and logo, or even having the ability to change the haptic engine on supported primers.

The settings on the display are also many, just a lot that mimics the iconic game that makes us think Lenovo has a license to use this design. There is also an interface and the menu is still not entirely English and still uses a foreign language.

Also built -in is support for direct tethering of game hardware controllers or accessories such as keyboards, mice, audio accessories and so on. The control of the settings on this device is at an advanced level raises the question mark who will buy this device will godek all or not?

The big problem is on the android update, because even though this device entered Amanz Labs a little late and runs the same version software as the unit sold in the local market, it doesn’t have the latest security patch update. Makes us hesitant to use or log in important accounts on this device.

Galaxy Tab A7 Lite Battery

Galaxy Tab A7 Lite Battery

With a 5100 mAh in Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite battery, the device can operate all day with SOT reaching 10 hours. Good enough life for a small sized tablet. The battery takes 2 hours to fully recharge using the 15W charger included in the box. With this battery life, it’s not a problem to use as an online learning tablet or to watch video content all day.

Audio through two speakers is satisfactory with Dolby Atmos support. Sound separation is good because of the distance between the speakers that are far apart from each other. With the audio jack, there is no issue only wireless accessories can be used.

The “classic” screen is also matched with the tablet’s “classic design” similar to the previous Tab A7. The metal back panel ensures it is durable, does not collect dirt as easily as glass and is cool to hold while dissipating heat from the processor better. The audio and power adjustable buttons are pressed on the right side which is made of plastic. Even so, the construction is still sturdy and does not feel cheap.

There’s still a 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom with a USB-C charging port. The Samsung android is also equipped with stereo speakers with a lattice on the top and bottom. A nano SIM tray and micro SD card are also included for those who need a cellular connection. The entire body of the tablet is sturdy and palatable in the hand when used.

For those who need additional features like S Pen and Samsung DeX stylus support, the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is not offered at this time. But for those who need a keyboard, there are several models with bluetooth tethering offered by Samsung and third parties.

The benchmark score for GeekBench 5 recorded by Helio P22 is 174 for single core and 868 for multi core. This puts it on par with the Snapdrgon 650 which is already over five years old. So from here you can guess what performance can be expected from the Tab A7 Lite. In the Antutu 3D test, it only recorded 103,565 marks or about 1/6 of the marks recorded by Snapdragon 888.

Schools have started to open but the use of smart devices like Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite for learning will remain with the formulation of the Digital Education Plan under the 12th Malaysia Plan. After two years of learning by PdPR, it is disadvantageous not to take the initiative to include digital elements through smart devices now.

This leads to the question of what tablets can be bought now by mothers, fathers and caregivers. This year the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite as an affordable tablet for the purpose of light use by children who need their first smart android. Is the Tab A7 Lite capable of meeting this requirement? This is what this review is trying to answer.

The 8.7 ″ screen used is from the TFT family and only supports a resolution of 800 x 1340 pixels only. No stylus support is provided and there is also no HDR support. The screen used is the most basic for a tablet. Color reproduction is less than satisfactory but we feel it is not a big sin for a beginner class device. For the purpose of learning additional features such as high refresh rate, S Pen; and HDR support is an unnecessary bonus.

The design of the Samsung device is also still classic with a fairly large bezel when compared to the Xiaomi Pad 5, Tab S7 FE or iPad Mini 2021. Again this is not a big issue as it targets use among children. Larger bezels make it easier for them to hold the tablet.

The 8.7 screen size might be arguably small for a tablet for an adult fixed for a child it might be the same as using a 12 ″ tablet. So the ratio of screen size to user body is pretty good actually.

Gaming on ZTE Axon

Gaming on ZTE Axon

Gaming on ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5Gs is no problem at all. The problem only occurs on the launcher for light tasks. The first high graphics like PUBG Mobile, COD Mobile, Asphalt 9 on high settings all run smoothly and are very satisfying.

The benchmark score is also what we expect for this ZTE android, which is 743,438 from AnTuTu and 1105/3398 from Geekbenh 5 for single-core and multi-core. This is a satisfactory score and not surprisingly the first performance was all good. Only the software problem will make this device at the level of “It feels like measles if you force stop all applications”

The settings are also simple and easy to use, everything is neatly organized. Tetai standard for Chinese -made operating systems, internally there will be some additional features and functions to provide spices to make the user experience more interesting. A little on customization, a little on audio and other things that may not be so annoying either.

The interface design looks quite original and distinctive with a bit of EMUI and MIUI elements clearly visible. Using a device with MyOS will provide an exciting experience. It’s just, it’s unstable.

It’s like a beta operating system, even the Android 12 beta 5 we use on some Pixel devices is smoother. It has inconsistent performance issues making the system a bit cranky. Interrupting daily tasks, getting stuck randomly and making us feel, “Why is everything good, but the OS is annoying !!!”

Makes us wonder, how will ZTE keep up with this device update?

Then the most annoying problem in ZTE is a lot of unusable banking apps or even digital wallet apps. All of these applications will detect the device has been rooted whereas we have not made any modifications to the device.

The operating system of this device, i.e. MyOS 11 is to blame for being the cause of this device being difficult for us to promote.
