Poco M4 Pro Phone

Poco M4 Pro Phone

Next, looking at the large Poco logo makes the Poco M4 Pro phone easy to identify from a distance. It is indeed clearly visible. But it is necessary for you to know that this device has a back panel problem that easily traps fingerprint effects. Not only that, it is also quite vulnerable to the risk of fine scratches that may be unintentional. Even so, the Poco M4 Pro 5G is still at the level of a good android.

The time we spent with this device also felt quite adequate. Where, the experience of holding the device feels sturdy, light and comfortable in the hand. Only, the bump on the camera module looks quite noticeable. This can make some users feel uncomfortable. In addition, you should not be fooled by the construction of this camera module. When viewed from a distance, it seems to be equipped with up to five cameras. But, actually no, it only comes with dual-camera main support.

Panel

On the front, there is a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels). This is a slightly larger size than previous models. It also supports a high 90Hz refresh rate adaptively. Where, the screen will display a smooth movement. But, at the same time it also reduces battery usage because the refresh rate is changed dynamically. Next, the use of a perforated screen in the middle is also Poco‘s choice. It houses a single 16-Megapixel selfie camera. We have to admit the screen bezel is a bit thick on the chin part. Still, it shouldn’t be a big deal as the bezels on the top and sides look quite thin.

The right side houses the power button and audio adjustable. The power button has a flat surface, and also serves as a fingerprint scanner. Then, on the opposite side there is a SIM slot that supports dual-sim capabilities with additional memory space via a microSD card. You can also find an IR sensor and speakers at the top. Finally, there’s another speaker at the bottom that comes with a USB-C connection port and the included 3.5mm audio jack.

Poco M4 Pro 5G

Poco M4 Pro 5G

Good buy poco… That is one of the expressions on the lips of consumers when poco returns to launch a new model Poco M4 Pro 5G, period of the day. Known as the Poco M4 Pro 5G, it is a twin to the Redmi Note 11 5G. Why? Both devices share many things in common. Good in terms of appearance, build quality and interior specifications. The only difference is the camera module finish on the M4 Pro which is decorated with black bars along with the big Poco branding.

Clearly, the bar adorns a third of the body of the device. It is however not raised and flat only. The spec offerings on the M4 Pro 5G look quite different than most devices in the same class. It has a 90Hz screen, a large 5,000mAh battery, a 50MP camera, a built-in 5G network, stereo speakers and more. A rather interesting combination isn’t it? But, what is the experience of using the M4 Pro 5G in the real world? Here are our reviews for this new device from Poco.

Design & Finishing:

The M4 Pro 5G comes with a similar design to the Poco android M3 model. Especially, on the black bar side along with the Poco branding on the back panel. The back is made of a plastic -based material with a combination of matte finish. Whether it is beautiful or not, depends on the taste of each. Honestly, in our opinion it can be categorized as ‘normal’ only. It’s a bit cliche when we say such an element resembles most existing devices. Only the black bar finish that adorns a third of the back panel makes it different from the rest. This review unit is Power Black. But, you can still get it in two other color options like Poco Yellow and Cool Blue.

Huawei Nova 9 Marketing

This Huawei Nova 9 marketing is also marketed as a suitable phone for vloggers, which is undeniably suitable if you wisely choose the settings, filters and know how to edit. Moreover on the video there are many template options for the convenience of the user. These are among the devices already used by TikTok content creators or perhaps YouTube Shorts.

Battery life is also among the positive things on this device. It can last for quite some time and this is a satisfying thing. Imagine 120Hz with SOT over 8 hours is not a problem. Furthermore with a 66W charger that can charge the device in the blink of an eye.

What’s Not Interesting?

Although the performance of the device from normal use is good and the first does not heat up. That is all for the settings that have been suggested or are available the default way. Asphalt 9 at its highest setting is not very interesting to play. It’s ok, I’ll just feel like there’s less. While not hot, it has a feeling that makes the first on this device unsatisfactory.

The other uninteresting thing is the extremely weak audio. This Huawei android only has mono speakers, which is quite powerful. But mono is not a wise choice and one that should be used. Huawei has no reason not to include it if the price is close to RM2000. Xiaomi can only offer the 11T series at a price starting at RM1699 with the best camera, attractive audio and satisfactory overall usage.

Video is unsatisfactory with poor focus and inconsistent colors. This is because, Huawei focuses on the use of filters and for those who are active in creating content for TikTok. If just short vertical video content, the basic video quality offered is adequate.

EMUI 12 in Nova 9

EMUI 12 in Nova 9

Existing Huawei fans will be grateful for the changes that have been made to the EMUI 12 in Nova 9. It’s fun to use, simple, a sense of fun. Although there is still the same feeling, but it still tries to give a little twist. Again with Celia which supports the Malay language, it can listen to voice commands well and quickly and do those commands very accurately. Here is another proof that Huawei is indeed serious with HMS and probably will not return with GMS.

Of course, when talking about Huawei products – their ecosystem is a must mention. If there are FreeBuds, MatePad and MateBook, use will be more fun. This is because all these devices can be used with each other. Huawei is pretty great at this and arguably has a level of efficiency approaching Apple.

Camera

The next interesting thing is the camera quality which looks a little better than the almost identical Honor 50 but a different sensor. This makes this device very suitable for those who want to get acquainted with Huawei photography. The AI results of this device look quite good, post-process fast and capable of giving amazing results.

Night mode and close -up mode also for photography it is in a very satisfying category. There has been little attempt to provide results that approach a pinnacle android. Huawei’s already well -known color science is also still visible, which is in a natural direction with no excessive HDR value while preserving the details well.

Selfie cameras are also see to be acceptable and give acceptable results. The details are well preserve and it also has attractive colors. The beauty mode is also see not to be so extreme and tries well to maintain the original facial look.

Huawei Nova 9 Button

Huawei Nova 9 Button

The right side has a power in Huawei Nova 9 button, there’s a volume button, on the left side there’s nothing, but on the top there’s a screen hole and on the bottom there’s a SIM card slot, a USB-C port and a speaker lattice. In front there is a screen for me

The screen of this Huawei android is quite nice and beautiful. It supports HDR10, but unfortunately no app can use it. Netflix is just SD, YouTube is also due to using third -party applications it may harm user data. So the screen of this device is just pretty enough to see the pictures available. It is also a curved screen, for which there is a premium value. But when the trend of flat screen usage is already getting so-so, it will feel a little weird when the content starts to interfere. But for some people, this may be a big issue.

But what’s important is, this Nova 9’s screen that supports 120Hz is crazy fast. It is rare to find a middle -class device with a high refresh rate screen that is consistent, stable and satisfying. Of course, our usage is 120Hz always to take advantage of their offerings.

The Snapdragon 778G chip also turns out to be fast and provides an immersive user experience. First play no serious heating problems, opening a lot of applications also does not pose a problem. Huawei and Snapdragon are one of the best couples that should go on.

What’s Interesting

The Nova 9 runs Huawei’s new operating system, EMUI 12 instead of Harmony OS. But due to being familiar with the Harmony OS on the MatePad 11, usage will feel easy. It’s also not much different from the previous EMUI. The overall usage experience of this device is more or less the same as the Nova 8, only it feels smoother. Among the reasons it feels faster and smoother is because as mentioned above, it supports a pretty good 120Hz high refresh rate.

Huawei Latest Device

Huawei latest device is the Nova 9, which is a successor to the Nova 8 that was just launched a few months ago. We at Amanz have been testing this device for a few weeks and in this review article, we will share the experience of using this device. The Nova 9 looks very similar to the Honor 50 – but what’s the difference and which one is worth buying?

It seems that the strategy of the device manufacturer from China now is to launch two different models in the same series in one year. Redmi with their Note series, Oppo with Reno, Huawei with Nova and many more.

Many are wondering, is it still worth buying a Nova device because there is no GMS? Our answer is, if you do not give it a chance and have the courage to try – until already this device will not be harmonious. But, the important question is-Nova 9 vs Honor 50. Although these two are more or less the same, but the user experience is much different.

Panel

The Nova 9 comes with a 6.57-inch screen of OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate support. It is powered by a 4G version of the Snapdragon 778G chip; the memory is 8/256 GB, with a quad-camera configuration of 50+8+2+2 Megapixels; and the selfie camera is the same 32MP on the previous Nova 8.

The battery is larger than the Nova 8; which is 4300mAh with fast charging support Huawei SuperCharge 66W, stays with mono speakers; also available is a bottom -screen fingerprint scanner and it runs Android 11 with EMUI 12 interface; which promises to receive Harmony OS updates no still a long way to go.

The device is also designed with a slightly different design from other Nova devices, but still tries to retain the premium design elements of Huawei android like from the P series. This rather odd looking camera module may not be everyone’s taste. No matter on the mocking image or in front of the face, it still looks weird. The arrangement of the lenses does not make it easy for the eyes to look at each module. It’s like the first time seeing fear or a hole on the screen of a device.

Oppo A95 Offering

Oppo A95 Offering

So, that’s the Oppo A95 offering that you need to know. It is a device with a fairly large battery and memory. Arguably an offering that can meet most consumer routines. But in our opinion, the use of a Snapdragon 662 chip and a mere 60Hz screen on this device is actually a bit behind for 2021. This is a classic specification for a mid -range smart android from 2019.

We can see Oppo’s closest competitors using Snapdragon 720G chips like the Samsung Galaxy A52 4G. The offer is also attractive with a 3.5mm audio jack, IP67 waterproof capability and stereo speakers. If you want a more worthwhile option, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE and Samsung Galaxy A52s use the Snapdragon 778G chip at a price that is only slightly more expensive.

Oppo A95 Battery

Oppo A95 Battery

The Oppo A95 battery is 5000mAh. It also supports fast charging 33W Flash Charge. At the same time, you will also find a feature called Battery Guard/AI Night Charge for a safer charging process when left on during sleep until morning. On our use, the device is able to last almost 10 hours with the attached screen reaching over 5 hours. It does however depend on the use of each. For us, this Oppo android is used all day for some activities. Among them are video streaming, use as a hotspot, taking pictures, playing the first for several sessions, surfing the web and several other activities.

Furthermore, pictures taken in low lighting situations showed unsatisfactory results. The noise is quite noticeable, the details are not very sharp and the light source in some cases is seen to be too bright. Although, it has night mode support built -in. However, the results are still less than satisfactory with noise still clearly visible for some situations.

Camera

One more thing, there are strange things we noticed regarding the camera on this device. While we were taking pictures for a long time. There were a few moments back then, we found the camera app couldn’t work properly. Where, the camera shutter button can be pressed but the picture is not taken directly. We also tried it with some other modes like video, pro and so on. The same situation remains. When this happens, it makes us feel a little unhappy and a little angry. Furthermore, at that time we were taking pictures for this review article.

At first we thought that by closing the application and reopening it, this problem would be solved. But unfortunately, not at all. The last way we do it is to restart the device. Then, only then can the camera app work as usual. Throughout the course of this review, this problem occurred quite frequently. We are not sure why this problem occurs. But, it’s friendly to say the Oppo A95 review unit we received was using early software. So, it is not known whether this problem is related to it or not. But we hope that this problem does not occur on models that will be sold later.

The Oppo A95 is supplied with three rear cameras. It consists of 48MP (main) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth). The front camera is 16MP. The device also has digital zoom support up to 5X. Moreover, it also does not have any support for OIS. Video recording can be made at the highest setting of 1080p/30fps for both sides of the camera. Just open the app, you will be presented with a neat and easy -to -understand camera interface. You can also easily access the settings and additional functions provided. Here are the results of pictures taken with this device:

The absence of a wide-angle sensor on this smart android may give rise to a slight sense of error. It feels better if Oppo uses that sensor which is why not many of us use depth or macro sensors on a regular basis. Even so, the main camera setup is capable of producing good picture quality, especially at perfect lighting. As can be seen, the production of all colors is still acceptable for most situations. But, the picture will be quite saturated if the AI function is activated. Pictures like this feel more suitable for those who want the production of color to be quite prominent.

Next, there are two security system in Oppo A95 options provided. You can choose whether to use the fingerprint scanner at the bottom of the screen or the face scan function. In our opinion, both work well. Just need to touch the screen and you will be taken directly to the main interface of the device. However, its face scan function has a much faster performance. Provided, the eyes are not closed and without a face mask.

Usage Experience

The Oppo A95 uses the Android 11 operating system with the ColorOS 11.1 interface. This is the same offering as some of the Oppo android we’ve reviewed before. For example, Oppo Find X3 Pro, Oppo Reno 6 5G, Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G and others. Through it, it features an easy -to -use interface design. It can be customized according to the user’s own needs.

For example, you can change themes, icons, fingerprint scanner animations, fonts and more. A number of custom features for a satisfying first experience are also included. Among them are Game Space and Game Assistant. Then, there is also the Flexdrop feature that offers more efficient use of the device. ColorOS 11.1 also focuses on security protection features. Where, the Private Safe feature is also included for better personal file storage. It includes various types of files such as pictures, videos and others.

Next up, the Oppo A95 is powered by a Snapdragon 662 chip. The memory match is 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage. It also offers virtual RAM support up to 5GB and additional storage via microSD card. In general, the device shows fine performance, Usage for basic activities like social media scrolling, video streaming etc. can be accessed just fine. Even so, there are a few time lag issues that occur on this review unit for some situations. The process of opening and switching between applications is also a bit less smooth especially heavy applications like PUBG.

Oppo A95 Buttons

Oppo A95 Buttons

Talk about connection ports and Oppo A95 buttons. The Oppo A95 uses a USB-C port connection on the bottom. It is housed along with mono speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack. This is good news for some users who still love the use of wired earphones and heads. However, the use of mono speaker systems is a significant drawback. Plus for anyone who wants better audio capabilities.

The power button is located on the right side, the audio adjustable button is located on the left side of the Oppo android. All buttons are solid without any extreme problems. It is also easy to access with good response support. At the same time, you can also find the dual-SIM tray space located on the left side. Quite interesting when it also supports the ability to add internal storage via microSD.

Front

On the front, the Oppo A95 uses a 6.43-inch flat screen with FHD+resolution. It feels easier to use than a curved screen. The display quality is satisfactory through the use of AMOLED panels. Content with bright and good colors can also be enjoyed. The screen is also very clear. Want to stare at social media? Or maybe read directly interesting news in Amanz? It’s no problem at all.

But unfortunately, the notable drawback is the screen that only supports refresh rates limited to 60Hz. We are sure, this may cause a sense of error for some users. While we can also see that there are competitors who are able to provide at least a 90Hz screen feature on their smartphones. One more thing, the existence of a thick bezel on the chin is also clearly visible. Even so, it’s not a big deal. On the other hand, things are commonly found in a device in such a class.

The Oppo A95

The Oppo A95

It also has a memory capacity of 8GB of RAM with virtual RAM support reaching 5GB. One more thing, the beautiful design with a spacious display is also an included bonus. But, what else do you need to know about this smartphone? With a price tag of RM1,099, is it worth it for you to have one? We will tell in a brief review article below.

Design & finish

The Oppo A95 comes with a polycarbonate -based body construction with a relatively rough matte finish on the back. We received the Oppo A95 unit in a Glowing Rainbow Silver color finish. It is quite interesting because it looks quite cheerful, relaxed and pleasing to the eye. You will also notice a slight reflection of light like a rainbow that adorns the evening sky when it is viewed from various angles. Plus interestingly, this panel is not too slippery and fingerprint dirt is also practically almost invisible. Even so, if you prefer something that looks simple. You can probably choose the Oppo A95 in a Glowing Starry Black colored finish adorned with all -black tones.

The experience of holding the device certainly feels comfortable. It is quite light and thin. Then, the design on all four curved sides also makes it comfortable when how many in hand. However, this design is actually still not perfect enough. Why? This is due to the construction of the camera that is still out of the body. It also results in the device not being able to be placed properly on a table or flat surface. We are also sure the use of the Oppo android without any protection is quite dangerous. The reason is, it is definitely easy to scratch if not taken care of properly.

Realme 3 Pro Battery

Realme 3 Pro Battery

The Realme 3 Pro battery presents a battery upgrade of 545 mAh compared to the Realme 3 Pro, by presenting a capacity of 4045 mAh compared to 3500 mAh. With the use of a 10nm chip through this Snapdragon 710, it is seen to be able to give better battery readings than the Realme 2 Pro model, with a longer device usage time.

With a capacity of 4045 mAh and a matching 10nm chip, the Realme 3 Pro is able to offer a pretty good Screen-on-Time (SoT) time, through SoT readings of around 7 hours 18 minutes for all-day use. In terms of charging time, the device is also supplied with a VOOC 3.0 (20W) charger available, with android charging time of around 1 hour 21 minutes.

Summary

Realme 3 Pro presents a very great device offering, so we can’t believe it’s only offered at a starting price of RM899. It has an attractive design, a bright screen display, while being generated with the fastest chip for its class. It also comes with bright dual-camera support, outstanding front camera capabilities, besides being able to provide long battery life.

The only downside is that the construction feels a little cheap; which may be due to the use of polycarbonate -based. It also still uses a micro-USB connection, compared to the USB-C connection already used on devices in its class. In addition, we expect it to come with a memory option of 8GB of RAM; in addition to presenting an IR blaster like the Redmi Note 7 device.

Realme 3 Pro System

Realme 3 Pro system is powered by the ColorOS interface, which is the same interface used on OPPO devices. It brings ColorOS version 6.0, which is the latest iteration you can see on the latest OPPO devices like the OPPO F11 and OPPO Reno. It has been built based on the Android 9.0 Pie operating system, allowing you to take advantage of technologies such as Vulcan 1.1. Unlike previous ColorOS, ColorOS 6.0 has come with an app tray to make it easier for you to see the apps installed on the device.

However, ColorOS on this Realme 3 Pro is a little different from the device as it does not carry any theme change support. Xiaomi Device Interface

Xiaomi Device Interface

Like any other Xiaomi device interface, it runs MIUI. The MIUI version on this device is MIUI 10.2. Not many perks for this device. It’s a cliché with any other Xiaomi device. But I still love the MIUI 10 on this Mi 9 SE.

Among the reasons are, Mi 9 SE and Mi 9 are the first two Xiaomi devices to come with MIUI 10 that has a stable deep dark theme mode. With a Super AMOLED display, the dark theme mode on this device is really captivating. Next up is the Always-On Color Display support. If on the previous Xiaomi Mi 8 it was not included, the Mi 9 SE is now included. There aren’t many Always-On Display settings that can be done, but the design is given a lot of options.

The Always-On Display on this device is a type that moves from time to time and it also changes color according to the selected design. This is to prevent screen burn-in issues from occurring. To see what the MIUI 10 interface looks like with the dark theme mode along with other features, can see the images below that I have included.

The interface score is 9/10. I love using MIUI, because it’s easy and simple.

Design

As I said in the ‘Battery’ paragraph earlier, Xiaomi considers the Mi 9 SE to be a small flagship android. So it is premium and great. On the front is a screen with Gorilla Glass 5 cover with a small notch. The earpiece is at the top of a notch hidden in the frame of the device. Below the front there is a chin which on me is not very thick.

Turning to the back, there is a very thick camera bulge and a sign that the user’s money will be easily depleted, the deck due to repairing a broken camera. The bulge of the camera is very high and if dropped, it will break. The back panel is Ocean Blue glass. It’s not a clichéd slope color, but has a mirror finish and a bit of green/rainbow. Under the camera bulge is an LED flash and on the bottom back of the device there is the Xiaomi logo.

Xiaomi Mi 9 SE Performance

Xiaomi Mi 9 SE Performance

The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE performance of this device is not as great as I expected. It’s supposed to be powerful and satisfying, but in my experience of using it-it’s just mediocre. The clichéd performance is found on a middle class device. On the main screen of the device, a slight time delay is felt when scrolling left to right and right to left. Opening the application also feels slow and directly unsatisfactory. My first solution was to change the third party launcher. From here, performance is seen to improve. The launcher I chose was Hyperion. Most likely, MIUI is still not better optimized to run on devices with Snapdragon 712.

Next, first. Playing for the first time on a Xiaomi android is one of the most important things. Although I rarely play first, but good performance and playing experience is a must. The first one I often play is Asphalt 9. The performance is amazing, especially with the help of the first mode built into MIUI 10. There are no performance issues when playing first, everything runs normally.

Performance

For security performance, I tested based on the speed of the device being unlocked using the fingerprint scanner below the screen. It uses the optical type and to me it is a bit slow. But it’s often successful and rarely fails to track my fingers, so it’s not in the disappointing category. It’s enough for my wishes. Face -based unlocking is selfie camera -based and unsafe. Just by snooping, the device continues to be unlocked. It’s like unlocking a device using intent.

The Xiaomi benchmark test I did was using AITuTu, AnTuTu and even Geekbench 4 apps. AITuTu was to test the greatness of the artificial intelligence system built into this device, Mi 9SE scored 52,738. For AnTuTu, after several tests – the score received was 177,568. This score is in the top 50. Surprisingly, it is below the Redmi Note 7. Last but not least is the Geekbench 4 test, which got a single-core score of 1873 and a multi-core score of 5766. If you compare the score of this device with the OnePlus 5T in the Geekbench database, the OnePlus 5T is much more powerful .

The performance score of this device I give is only 6/10.

Xiaomi Mi 9 SE

Xiaomi Mi 9 SE

A small and powerful device is a most perfect device, that is my opinion, today im going to experience Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. The most interesting ones I like are the Google Pixel 3 and the Galaxy S10e. It has the specifications of a pinnacle device, is pleasant to hold, easy to control and compact with power. For other manufacturers, the popular old days that come to mind are the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and also the OnePlus X.

Recently there are already fewer manufacturers present with such devices, because what they are chasing is to imitate other competitors to come with large, frameless devices, pop-up cameras and more. In April, Xiaomi Malaysia officially launched the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. Through this device, Xiaomi is focusing on small -sized devices, compact in power and also great cameras. Still, is this little device from Xiaomi powerful enough? In this article I will review the experience of using Xiaomi Mi 9 SE as my daily device.

Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is not a flagship android. It is categorized as a premium mid -range device, which is powered by a Snapdragon 712 processing chip. This chip is a 10nm build chip, which has the same build as the Snapdragon 845. This chip is also an upgrade to the Snapdragon 660 which has been cycled by Xiaomi for some years. The Mi 9 SE is matched with 6GB of RAM memory and a choice of 64GB or 12GB internal storage. Turning to the screen, the device has a 5.97-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with HDR support. It has a screen-to-body ratio in excess of 84% with a 19.5: 9 resolution ratio and 432 ppi.

For the camera, the device has a tri-lens main camera that combines a 48MP + 8MP telephoto + 13MP ultra-wide telephoto lens and a 20MP selfie camera. For security it uses an optical type bottom screen fingerprint scanner. Then for audio it has mono speakers and no 3.5mm audio jack port. In terms of battery, it only has a capacity of 3070mAh and has 18W fast charging support via USB-C port.

Oppo Reno Mode

Oppo Reno Mode

Playing first is no problem, just keep in mind that there is a built -in first Oppo Reno mode (Game Space) – this device does not focus on video games. It’s more of a lifestyle like screen, camera and style. Going back to the original, playing PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9 at the beginning of use it was very smooth and satisfying. Now if playing PUBG Mobile there will be a bit of graphics problems and time lag. This issue I find when there are a lot of apps open and running in the background.

Other than the issues that on me are minor, my usage experience is pretty good. For security, it uses a fingerprint scanner in an optical type screen. MashaAllah, very slow. I expect at least it has the same speed as the OnePlus 6T, however no it’s slower. It reminds me of the Samsung Galaxy A50, only slightly better. There is also a face scanning system to unlock the device. But it’s slower than the Oppo Find X.

The benchmark on this device looks pretty good. It’s just not the best. Here I include the score and a few comments.

The performance score of this device I give is only 7/10.

Camera

Oppo android is known for devices with good selfie capabilities. So on this Oppo Reno, Oppo still maintains good selfie capabilities with many improvements. This shark-fin pop-up camera uses a 16MP F2.0 lens and the results are quite amazing. I gave this Oppo Reno to the girls during the festivities and the result was really charming and beautiful. Still has a beauty mode that can’t be turned off, but is more natural and pleasing to the eye. Just look at the sample photos below and you rate. I also included a photo of the selfie portrait mode and it is still mediocre.

Turning to the main camera on the back, the 48MP is an F1.7 lens and the 5MP is F2.4 for depth. To me this 5MP lens is still just a gimmick, because the selfie photo results are still more to the software. The camera results are quite good.

The Oppo Reno Series

The Oppo Reno Series

The Oppo Reno series is a new smartphone series from Oppo which is now one of their main focuses along with the Oppo Find series. With the presence of this Oppo Reno as well, the Oppo R series is officially terminated. What is interesting with this Oppo Reno series is, in one series there are many models and categories. For example in Malaysia there are two; The Oppo Reno is in the premium middle class category and the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom is in the flagship android family.

This article is a review article of the Oppo Reno, which is their premium mid -range device. There are many positive things about this device, however not all devices are perfect and these imperfect things are things that many do not like. The Oppo Reno is in the mid -premium device category because of its selling price, its building materials and even its camera. Is it worth owning? Let’s read to the end and think, if this is the smartphone you want.

Specifications

The screen size of this device is 6.4 ″ and the panel used is AMOLED on-cell. Large size, beautiful and charming. Powering this device is a Snapdragon 710 processor chip with an Adreno 616 GPU. For the Malaysian market, it is matched with 6GB of RAM memory and 256GB of internal storage. The memory settings on this device are quite adequate and already quite powerful. The Oppo Reno does not have any memory card slots.

To me that’s not a problem, because 256GB is a big size. Plus the age of streaming a variety of content online and the use of cloud storage, 256GB is more than enough. The Oppo Reno camera is just a 48MP + 5MP lens. As always, the small size is a depth sensor. The selfie camera is a 16MP pop-up camera system with a 5P lens.

Tab A With S Pen

Tab A With S Pen

Samsung Galaxy Tab A with S Pen has come with mid-range specifications, such as the presence of 8.0-inch IPS LCD Full HD+ screen with 16:10 ratio, Exynos 7904 chip, 3GB RAM memory, and 32GB internal storage along with support microSD. It also offers some of the latest connectivity such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, along with a 4200 mAh battery capacity.

When you hold this Samsung device, you will love its comfortable design to use. It’s not too big and still able to be held on one hand. The back construction also has a rubbery texture, which reduces the device from slipping out of hand. It is also not too heavy, making it easier for you to hold the device for long periods of time.

In terms of connectivity, the Samsung android has brought a USB-C-based connectivity on the bottom, along with a 3.5mm audio jack on the top. The speakers are housed at the bottom, with mono -based audio output. Nonetheless, its audio performance sounds very satisfying, giving it a loud sound volume. On the right series side of the device, it houses the power button along with the voice adjustment button. On the left side of the device, it comes with a microSD slot, along with a SIM slot for call support and LTE.

Bottom

The device also includes an S-Pen on the bottom, which can be easily stored and removed. The tip on this stylus is sensitive to pressure, so it gives a different sketch effect when pressed. It also has a button on the side, which can bring out the Air Command display. It also doesn’t have a battery in it, so it doesn’t require you to charge it.

The front design comes with an 8.0-inch IPS LCD display; with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 at a ratio of 16:10. With the inclusion of Full HD resolution, the text -based display can be displayed well; yet it still gives a slightly brighter pixel appearance. The degree of view is also seen to be a bit weak, thus giving limited screen visibility when viewed from different angles.

OnePlus 7 Pro Camera

OnePlus 7 Pro Camera

In DXOMark, the OnePlus 7 Pro camera score is 111 – which when compared to its value is the second best on the DXOMark list. But is it true that this OnePlus 7 Pro camera is great? The device is matched with three lenses for the main camera, of which these lenses are 48MP lens + 8MP telephoto 3x zoom lens + 16MP ultra-wide lens. For the selfie android camera, it uses a pop-up system with a 16MP lens.

OnePlus is seen trying to mimic the Google Pixel which uses a lot of post-processing images after they are taken. Once the picture is taken, the displayed image will be pixelated and after a few new seconds it will display the final result which is even more stunning.

Result

The color result of the OnePlus 7 Pro image is sharper and prettier. It is also quite bright and satisfying. However, sometimes the value of the dynamic range is sometimes more than enough so that the color is a little run. However, this only happens when HDR is set to always and auto mode has beautiful results. Bokeh mode is now neater and better than usual. You can see a sample below;

Selfie cameras also have many improvements. It is not so soft and has more neat and realistic details. Bokeh mode is the same, it no longer looks too deceptive. The downside here is, selfie cameras often have a slightly reddish color. I realized this happened after the Oxygen OS 9.5.8 update. You can see a sample below;

For video recording, OnePlus is as usual known for its 4K 60FPS recording mode with good stability – which combines their OIS and EIS technologies. Great however OnePlus 7 Pro camera when recording video, upload on Instagram Stories still looks like 3GP recording.

My One Plus 7 Pro camera score is 9/10.

OnePlus 7 Pro Mimic

OnePlus 7 Pro Mimic

There is no denying that OnePlus 7 Pro mimic Samsung on their screens. An example is the ability to set the screen resolution from FHD+ to QHD+ manually or directly set to the auto-adjustable setting which will vary from one of the resolutions according to the content displayed on the screen. Next is the ‘Video Enhancer’ function which is a function to further enhance the color of the screen so that it is more in line with the video content being played.

The unique thing about this OnePlus 7 Pro device is definitely the screen refresh rate up to 90Hz. This 90Hz setting will make the screen faster and smoother. Each scroll will be able to feel a very noticeable change compared to the 60Hz setting. This screen refresh rate setting has only two options, namely always 60Hz or ‘always’ 90Hz. For this 90Hz, when the phone or camera call app is opened – it will change to 60Hz automatically. It can only remain at 90Hz if the hidden setting is enabled.

Settings

Then, other settings on this OnePlus 7 Pro screen are the same as other OnePlus android-such as dark theme mode, Ambient Display support, reading mode, Apple TrueTone-like functionality and more. Slightly disappointed with the Ambient Display mode on the OnePlus is, it lacks the capabilities of Samsung devices-Always-On Display (AOD). According to OnePlus, they did not include AOD due to serious battery issues and for a good usage experience the Ambient Display is sufficient for now.

Overall, the screen of the OnePlus 7 Pro is truly amazing and keeps me excited. The whole time I used this OnePlus device, its curved screen didn’t have good palm rejection when the protective frame wasn’t in use. Lots of other parts I didn’t want to touch, touched.

This OnePlus 7 Pro screen I gave a score of 11/10.

Achievement

The OnePlus 7 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor chip; that is matched with memory from 6GB up to 12GB of RAM; and UFS3.0 -based internal storage of 128GB or 256GB. The review unit I tested was 8GB of RAM and on me 8GB of RAM was already more than enough. Before I talk about the performance of this device; I will first talk about the advantages of UFS3.0 -based internal storage.

P30 Pro Camera Hump

P30 Pro Camera Hump

The Huawei P30 Pro camera hump on the back is quite large and tall. This causes the device to not be placed flat on the table surface without damaging the lens. Huawei includes a plastic frame with every purchase. To ensure the P30 Pro’s lens and periscope mechanism last a long time, we think it’s a good idea to have a durable frame. This also solves the problem of the rear glass panel trapping dena dirt too easily.

The USB-C charging port located on the bottom of the device is squeezed with a SIM tray on the left and speakers on the right. The hybrid tray is again used to also support NM Card for additional internal storage up to 256GB. No audio jacks are included as it has been done by Huawei since the P2o Pro again. Huawei includes a USB-C adapter to the audio jack and a pair of USB-C headphones with every purchase.

Sides

The sides of the device are rounded to increase comfort when used while the top and bottom are flat. Overall the P30 Pro is among the devices with the most attractive designs on the market. The premium finish is matched with a high -class finish that puts it on par with those released by Apple and Samsung. This is not surprising as they are now the second largest device manufacturer on the market even after being imposed for a month of sanctions by the United States.
Interface

Android 9 Pie operating system with EMUI 9.1 launcher is used. This is the most recent interface used on Huawei devices. The biggest difference is made in the more minimalistic icon design with flat colors. The icons are placed in a rounded corner box and no longer in a circle as can be seen on the Mate 20 Pro (EMUI 9.0).

Unlike Samsung who completely changed their interface to make it easier to use one -handed; Huawei still hasn’t dared to make drastic changes to their launchers. On the positive side, Huawei android users don’t have to re -learn the new interface when buying the P30 Pro.

Huawei P30 Pro Camera

At the top there is a small notch for the front Huawei P30 Pro camera. Huawei did not include a 3D face scanning system on the P3o Pro and the result is that the notch on this device is smaller than the Mate 20 Pro. Complementing the screen specifications is a built -in fingerprint scanner on the screen. It still retains optical scanning technology. Currently only the Galaxy S10 and S10+ are equipped with a fingerprint scanning system in a faster and safer ultrasonic screen.

A 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor is use and it is the same processor as found on the Mate 20 Pro and Honor View20. The Kirin 980 comes with a 2+2+4 core configuration used. The two main-core A76 cores with a speed of 2.6GHz are match with two Cortex-A76 cores with a speed of 1.92GHz and four low-power Cortex-A55 cores with a speed of 1.8 GHz. The graphics chip used is Mali-G76 MP10.

Matching

This is match with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM memory and storage up to 512GB. For those who need additional storage, there is NM card support up to 256GB. Like Samsung, Huawei continues to offer 8GB of RAM memory on their flagship devices and skips the 6GB RAM offering. By 2019, we are already seeing devices with 12GB of RAM that are larger than most personal computers find. The use of 6GB of RAM memory on flagship android is now no longer acceptable.

The main camera on the back incorporates a 40+20+8+Megapixel TOF sensor. This is an improvement from only 40+20+8 Megapixels use on the Mate 20 Pro. The 40-Megapixel sensor is equip with an f/1.6 wide-angle lens, a 20-Megapixel with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens; and an 8-Megapixel sensor with a 5X f/3.4 optical zoom lens. The uniqueness of the 8-Megapixel sensor used is the periscope system; that can perform 10X invisible hybrid zoom and 50X digital zoom. No mobile Huawei device was capable of doing this sensor capability before the P30 Pro was launched.
